Meine Herren,

I was called by Gefreiter von Manstein yesterday to give bomber support during a patrol in the New Berlin system. He had encountered a gunboat class vessel that refused to follow his directions and needed additional firepower to deal with the troublemaker. Scans of the ship showed that it was transmitting order signatures.

After several questions of the Gefreiter which the captain of the gunboat did not answer he tried to escape, opening fire on us in the process. Herr von Manstein gave the order to open fire and after approximately 2 minutes the gunboat fell to good timed shots of the Nova Torpedo Launcher and the Supernova Antimatter Cannon which hit the target simultaneously while its shields were down.

Greetings! Seems thing are still holding up rather well. Our first day was only slightly eventful. We took most of the time planning out the most effective patrol route while still being in a place to support local ships if need be.

Not very chatty in Rheinland. Met up with a policing craft and had to give him my yarn as to why I was patrolling the system. After he checked it out with his superiors I think we hit it off well enough.

We did managed to scare away a Corsair in the Stuttgart system. He took a trade lane and I believe headed off to the Munich system or some Jump hole near by.

Corsair

We tried to chase after him but quickly lost track. I'€™m sure he'€™ll be back.

That'€™s all for now. We'€™ll keep this frequency open and burst transmit to it with updates each day. Thank you.

[color=#FFCC00]
Achtung, Soldaten!

In cooperation with some Alster engineers, we salvaged a few disabled vessels around Hamburg and Dresden. We more or less got them repaired into working condition again, though they're not as efficient as the original ones, they still should come in handy for training.

Indeed, we've moved the three vessels into Braunschweig along with a repair crew, you can request access to them by sending a message to the High Command.

The first one is a Guardian, the main combat vessel of the Liberty Navy. It's slow as a pack mule compared to the ships we have in Rheinland, but it makes an excellent multi-role fighter for those who are experienced at handling them and it packs quite a punch. It's equipped with Vengeance cannons and a pair of debilitators.

The second is an Odin we picked up from one of the mining fields in Dresden. Apparently they wanted to set an ambush up but the ship got smashed by a pair of rocks, took some time to patch it up. I have to give my compliments to the designer of this vessel class at any rate, it's similar to the Wraith in a lot of aspects but has an extra gun and a slightly worse agility. It's equipped with Natterturns and two debilitators.

Finally, we took in a Sabre, Bundschuh Lugers as equipment. The ship's a mean opponent, not only do those seven guns hit you hard, it's also rather agile for its size and equipment, definitely we should get in some training against this class of vessel.

Right, what you need to keep in mind:

Again, if you want access to the ships, request it from a High Command member or me. Any unauthorized access to the training vessels will be punished.

Never take the training ships out of Braunschweig under any condition. Same retorsions as above apply and you are going to be standing against the press if some civvie notices us flying a Guardian.

If you want to modify the ships' equipment, inform the High Command and make sure the original guns get back to the Armory. I believe we also salvaged some Krakens during a fight in the Omegas, you can find them in the Armored Transport.

Finally, try not to destroy the training ships and make sure simulation mode is turned on when you take them in for a fight. This specifically applies to you, Kulzer.

Signed,

Admiral Alec Voelkel,
Oberkommando der Rheinland Militär.

We spend a little time on talking. The Zoner was carrying Nuclear Devices and Synthetic Marijuana, the Unioners and 1 LWB wanted that the Zoner Transporter drop the Nuclear Devices but he didn’t. Then the Unioners and the LWB shoot the Zoner Transport. I told the Hostile targets to stop fire, but they don’t and I don’t engage them because I was alone. So the Unioners and the LWB could destroy the Zoner.

***Subject: Patrol-Day Two and Three***

The past two days was either feast or famine.

The second day of our patrol was literally just waving to passing transports. No other activities or erroneous issues ensued.

Day three of our patrol was a bit more eventful. I decided to depart from, New Berlin about 30 minutes ahead of schedule and do a quick patrol of the local system when passing from station Bonn, we encountered two Rheinland Military craft engaged with two Hessian and an accompanying transport. I sounded general quarters and asked permission to enter the situation and was given permission to take out the transport. In short order the transport broke off its engagement from the Military craft and continued to attempt to evade us. The transport was eventually destroyed.

Transport gone!

Turning back to assist the Military, they assured us all was in good hands, eventually taking out one of the Hessians and forcing the other to flee. For the time. We managed to land at New Berlin and let the Rheinland, Bounty Hunter, and Civi Pilots get some much needed rest and recovery.

My Freelancer senses were tingling when this pilot Nomine passed by me a few times and I ordered navigations to follow him. I saw his ship was damaged and we tried communicating with him but found two Hessian ships just barely popping in and out of sensor range. I choose to pull back rather than enter into what was slowly looking like a trap. We didn'€™t think much after it until we spotted the ship again. After doing a ship'€™s scan, we found him to have a load out of Class 5 Bundschuh Luger weapons and a turret. We followed him running back to Vogtland base. I hate seeing trouble in the making but he committed no crime, and since he had no ID for that faction we choose to hold off and get word back to you. Unfortunately, we feel that next time we see him, it may be when he'€™s actively attacking transports.

Additionally, two freelancers cpt_hex and Fozan were shipping Military Vehicles to planet Leeds. Though I highly sympathize with the plight of Leeds, Adam Spire has directed his Freelancers and even the Perth Rescue from taking any direct military action against Kusari forces. Damn small universe'€¦.pardon my bluntness, but we'€™re here for Rheinland, not for the politics. Under the circumstances, are any transports authorized to ship Rheinland military Vehicles to active conflict areas such as Leeds? We thought that one trading company was allowed to do this. Just checking.

What else'€¦Oh yes, RH-Buffel.Orchester showed up again with 2 hours of him evading destruction by those two Rheinland Military ships. I gave him one last warning and he eventually bugged out. If we see him again, he will be dealt with.

Lastly, any idea who these individuals are? I'€™ve seen them floating around Rheinland, literally flying around in circles. I received no reports of any illegal activities or anything, actually, from them. Should I keep and eye on them?

Guten tag! May the Fatherland live eternally! Approximately two days ago from the time you receive this message these events shall have passed. Yesterday I undocked from Altenburg when I was contacted by Gefreiter Manstein to begin a patrol run. I continued to New Berlin, and was ordered to patrol the trade lanes. I immediately took a left upon entering the system to the trade lane, and by chance had luck in the first go. Half way through the trade lane I saw a glimpse of three plus hostiles on my scanners. A shot was made at my craft, but missed. I did not take kindly to this attack on me as a soldier of our nation. I informed Manstein of an unknown hostile presence, and at the end of the trade lane took a quick run around, breaking off the lane about 3 klicks from their location.

They were Hessians. By this time, Manstein had already caught up, apparently he was not far. It was at this time that they demanded to be informed of Manstein's rank.

Additional image of the battle at the onset:
http://i815.photobucket.com/albums/zz79/ja...ort%20one/2.jpg

Manstein accused the Red Hessians of pirating, and attempted to arrest them. Being the criminals they were, they denied this, and the morons went as far as to resist the lawful arrest. I was ordered at this time to attack, as the Hessians themselves were about to retaliate. Of the foes we faced, only three of the Red Hessians were of concern, the others were obviously no match for us. We battled them for approximately four or five minutes before we picked up a signal from a Freelancer that was contracted with the RM for patrols aboard the Vigilance. Manstein granted him the go to assist.

Vigilance destroyed the ship as ordered in a matter of a couple of minutes, secured the cargo, and fell back to New Berlin.

Additional image, Proof of the Vigilance's kill: http://i815.photobucket.com/albums/zz79/ja...ort%20one/4.jpg

I was then ordered to destroy the next target, Muecke, and did so with all the precise might I could muster. the battle continued for several more minutes with little progress. We were still outnumbered somewhat, but we did not fail. At one point my ship nearly fell apart from a huge blast hitting me from the back, and I needed to use up all of my remaining nano-bots to save my ship. My hull was at a low 25% at that point. I quickly regained my composure however, and the battle continued as before, at a roughly equal stalemate of us two vs the two remaining Hessians and a few minor nuisances.

Manstein landed the killing blow onto the ship we were targeting, and with only one of the competent pilots left, they retreated into one of the asteroid fields, presumably to 'Kaiserlautern'.

Manstein then conversed with Owens as we went home, and assured him that he would be well payed for his services. It was then that it was revealed that Owens and his crew had an agreement with the Military for his services. The damned Hessians then made an insult to justice and the consequences for resisting arrest, claiming murder.

Strangely, after we were on the last trade lane to Planet New Berlin, we were contacted by Buffel, one of the Hessians from the battle that fled. He requested that Manstein met him alone, to discuss some undisclosed matter. Manstein rejected, and he moved to dock before we parted ways again.

With the patrol completed, I went to dock with a port in New Berlin and take a night's rest before writing this report. While it was a short patrol, it was of a great service to Rheinland. By taking out the hessians that we did, we made our home system of New Berlin we made travel that much safer for the Rheinland companies and loyal civilians within our boarders.

Flieger Martin Nelson out.

Guten Tag, Das ist Gefreiter Carl von Manstein of the 88th Rheinwehr Brigade,

In this message I am informing you about the NR-95, NR-97, NR-98 patrols. The unsignificant parts have been greatly reduced.

--- NR-95 ---

I was in a typical patrol in the Stuttgart System when I received a transmission from a SEK Offizer asking me to assist him in a report he had from Omega-7 System. I responded in the call and I met him near Freiburg. From there we together headed to Omega-7. In the the trade lane to Freistadt we found 1 Red Hessian Odin and 1 Red Hessian Cruiser. I asked from the SEK Offizer to lead the operazion und he asked me to attack the Odin, while he was busy with the cruiser.

In the fight with the Odin, I heavily damaged his ship, so it cruised and retreated. Too bad that I wasn't equipped with Cruise Disruptors. So afterwards I changed my target und engaged the cruiser. Luckily a Rheinland Military Cruiser named "Omsk" arrived in the scene, so it was a matter of minutes before the destruction of the hostile cruiser. Here are two photos that my guncam took.

[color=#000000]Seconds before the destruction of the hostile cruiser

The destruction

Afterwards, I returned back to Stuttgart und nothing significant took place.

[color=#000000]--- NR-97 ---

A Kusarian transport sent us a message about a Red Hessian Gunboat with a name Karl.Roth around Planet Stuttgart. I answered to the call and so did several other comrades. I was leading the operazion before Vizeadmiral Putzkammer arrived in Stuttgart System, so I asked the Fliegers to patrol the lanes and find the gunboat. Some minutes later I found the gunboat near Baden Baden und I asked everyone to come nearby. Soon, der Vizeadmiral came and took control of the operazion. The gunboat didn't stop so ve chased him to Omega-11. The nearby Red Giant damaged our hull but we were ordered to hunt him down. Some minutes later, the gunboat jumped to an unknown system und Vizeadmiral ordered us to follow.

This system had a dense asteroid und mining field and in the middle, there was an unknown planet. Flieger Michael von Reims told us that this was a Neutron Star. Nevertheless we didn't stop chasing the gunboat und we successfully started attacking it. The gunboat continued it's retreat und after several minutes it jumped to another unknown system. Vizeadmiral ordered us again to continue the persuit und in this system the gunboat stayed for several minutes and fought.

This system had also a dense asteroid and mining field, but in the middle there wasn't any sun, there was just a vacuum; with many corsair and hessian wrecks. Here's a photo of the second unknown system.

In the battle, we continued having the upper hand, so the gunboat had to break up from the battle und head back the system it came from. There we continued inflicting on it heavy damage so it retreated towards the Neutron Star. Apparently, after we left the asteroid field, the radiation levels reached immense levels und not even our nanobots were enough to limit the damage. Unfortunately, the gunboat was equipped with strong armor plates, so the radiation damage it sustained was much less than ours. Our glorious Vizeadmiral ordered us to remain und fight. Even though we still had the upper hand, we vere now lacking a precious element; the time. As long as the gunboat resisted, ve vere using huge amounts of nanobots to make some small repairs in our hull. So the Vizeadmiral ordered us to retreat und we searched the system for quite some time before we find a jump hole. Here's a photo before our retreat. The Neutron Star is in the left.

Some minutes later, we found a jump hole und luckily it was the correct one und it led us back to Omega-11. I reported back to Battleship Strausberg und I was flying a second-rate ship for several days before my Wraith was finally repaired. Finally, we also had some medical tests to check if the radiation penetrated the ship hull und reached our bodies. Fortunately, we didn't get huge amounts of radiation, so a small therapy was more than enough.

[color=#000000]--- NR-98 ---

I was tasked to execute a short patrol in New Berlin und Stuttgart. After I checked New Berlin, I jumped to Stuttgart und there I found 3 transports taking the lane to the planet. I followed them. In the middle of the route, one trade lane was offline, so I had the luxury of time to ask them to stop and identify themselves. After a cruise disruptor, they stopped und they told me they were working for the IMG. Moreover, they were all using "UMWS" in front of their call-signs und that leads me to think that they were some short of a group or a small company.

They also said they were hauling Military Vehiles und they were heading to Leeds und I verified that after a scan analysis on their cargo pods. Surprisingly they weren't aware of the shipping regulations of this accomodity, so I had to inform them. Fortunately, they complied und I proposed them to contact some Kusari Naval dealers who were willing to buy these vehicles, since there is a high demand there too. Moments later, they changed their route und headed back to New Berlin, probably because they already found a dealer. Here is a photo of the 3 transports.

The rest of the patrol was quiet. Das ist all for now. Für Rheinland, für Kanzler !

Ship ID: [FL]-Vigilance

Day four and five

Day four: The only notable contact this day was a mining ship with a handle of, IM THE MINER . At first glance it had defensive turrets and we were presuming to see at least one mining turret but saw not a one. The whole mining ship is apparently a battle boat setup I suspect and hope his intentions are mainly defensive for other miners and the surrounding regions. We'€™ll keep an eye out and see what he does,

I'€™m sorry to report that the Hessian Gunboat Captain Shaf.Hauzen eluded us. Captain Richard Wills provided us with some scans of his ship, and we feel the Vigilance out armors and out guns her, but our lack of experience may tip the scales. Additionally, we were unable to locate his accomplices with the help of local Rheinland patrols. We'€™ll keep our eyes open as we continue our patrols.

Day five: Well Rheinland, we decided to deviate a bit from the standard Patrol and directly escort ships that took their main path through Rheinland and it went pretty well. First was a Britionia ship of Mox to the Leeds system. Not much worry there. A quick trip back and we were able to escort three Kruger mining ships to and back from Kusari space. Good thing, we connected up with a Kusari Gunboat under the command of Captain Shi. Very well to do and helped with the GMG patrols in Sig 13 perfectly.

Now here is where it got odd. I performed one last patrol of New Berlin n and spotted a full Hogosha transport hauling ore from Omega 7. Now, I'€™m no miner by far, but I don'€™t see any Kruger miner working for an organization that has more than once plowed them into the ground. I requests police support as it was, after all, a trade ship, who was followed by some freelancer in a pirate cargo ship. All too coincidental and it was trying to avoid me. I continued to disrupt its engines, asking it to stop while I tried to communicate with any kruger ships within Omega 7 but no one heard of this ship stealing ore from anyone. Well, The local Rheinland patrols didn'€™t like the Hogosha ship at all and were pounding away at its shields and armor. It kept flying in circles and I was still trying to get confirmation as to what in the world to do. I eventually saw no reason to hold it and told it to make it to the trade lanes before the patrols took it out. Did I mention the local patrols really didn'€™t like him? They took him out before he could make it anywhere. The Hogosha even asked me to help him too. I had mixed feelings about that and when his ship was destroyed.'€¦.no I really didn'€™t. Sorry.
