Discovery Mod: Ideas & Feature Requests - Crackpunch - 12-22-2010 If a Gallic Junker ID is going to be available in 4.86, then the Junker guard ID now serve a purpose again. Give it access to cruisers. The way this works is, the Junkers don't have a cruiser of their own, so they can't spam them. Several other factions that are white cells to Junkers do have cruisers however. This means that through proper roleplay a Junker can acquire his own cruiser. The Rheinland Pirate Cruiser would once more have a use. This would be great because it opens up possibilities for more diverse RP. Remote bases and outposts do get their regens somewhere. Can result in seeing repair ships in space more often. Discovery Mod: Ideas & Feature Requests - Levi Payne - 12-30-2010 Molly Mods The following is all Roleplaying updates/ideas An attack on Essex is made by the Molly's once the war with Kusari and Gallia opens up. Battleship Essex is destroyed, and is replaced by a new Molly Base "random name Station" which then becomes a front to defend Dublin from Bretonian forces. Relations between Galllia's Council greaty improve, and the Molly's open up more to them, causing trade to occur. Gold Ore becomes valued in Gallia, opening a new trade route for Zoners, Junkers, and Gallia characters. With Gallia supplying the Molly's, the IMG Battleship Hood is no longer needed, and before war breaks out between the IMG and the Mollys, it moves to Magellen, close to Freeport 4. The reasons for all of this would be the following: No more miners hiding under the skirts of Essex as soon as Mollys come into the system. Taxing is the only fun thing that Mollys do in Dublin, and we can't do it with Essex there. Secondly, it would make the Molly's actually interesting. Flying around Dublin fighting off the occasional Corsair is fun, but it gets really really monotonous sometimes. So if trades were opened up between Gallia and Dublin, it would fun Gallia's war effort, and the Molly's would have something to do. Also, the Council understands the Molly's position of trying to make a free Dublin. They relate to it, so it would make sense. And I don't know if this is feasible or not, but make a Gallia/Molly Battleship. The Molly Cruiser is constantly overpowered by larger ships, and Dublin needs a battleship to be free. Discovery Mod: Ideas & Feature Requests - Patrician - 01-14-2011 A SECURE communications thread for each faction. Anyone can post, but only that faction's leader and selected others can access it, like sanction reports. Everyone can post in Comm Channels, but everyone can also read it, regardless of "encryption". "But thats metagaming!" you say. Shocking, I know, but it happens and will ALWAYS happen; it would be nice if there WERE secure channels. This has the advantage in that people dont need to actually make up a code, which caused problems earlier, yet still is secure. I thought of this because I tried to make a deal with the Rogues about access to Cassini ingame. Everything went well (relatively) until I was told to go through regular channels (Forum). Well, that not gonna happen. As soon as I do that, everyone knows my ship and that I trade with less than reputable people. Yeah, yeah, I know, surely people wont metagame. Well, Im not risking it; Ive learned its MUCH easier to get around when no one knows who you are. So that ends that chance at RP. End whatever it is that makes friendly NPCs suddenly hostile you when one of your enemy's NPCs appears. ie: If you are a Junker in Manhattan orbit and neutral to the Liberty Police and Navy. You fly by Trenton and Manhattan without any problems. Then 1 Samura NPC (to whom you are hostile) appears out of thin air and suddenly all of the Liberty NPCs turn hostile and start shooting at you. This is not RP or realistic or anything but a headache. And it happens all over Sirius. Edit: [3]. An extremely highly perishable commodity called "Delicious Ice Cream". Another suggestion would be: Escort trader x with commodity y to base z and defend him from NPC faction n. Isnt there any way to change this? I also completely agree with Thexare said.
