Mason enters the bar and looks around.

Mason: What kind of fairy tail is this? Eh?

Hikari gets up from the table and sneaks up behind Mason while hes looking around.

Hikari: Mason-san!!!

She wraps her arms around him tighty while Mason jumps a little.

Mason: Woah! What, who?

He looks down at her arms then relaxes and Hikari smiles.

Mason: Hey sweety.

He turns around and hugs Hikari tightly for a second then smiles.

Mason: So how've you been Hikari?

Hikari: So-so. She smiles. I'm glad to see you again... its been a long time hai..

Mason: Sure has. Sorry for not staying the time I did come to visit. Duty called.

Aaron noticing Mason walk in, ordered a drink for him too and took it to the table. He sat down and waited for them and started thinking how they reminded him of Isabella.

Hikari: Hai..its ok. I understand.

Mason: So where do we sit? I have a headache since Jonah called me a Lavabrain. And who the frak is Yuka?

Hikari giggles then smiles. She takes his hand and walks over to where Aaron is sitting. Aaron looks up then stands up to greet Mason. Mason slips through Hikari's grip and promptly takes a good swing at Aaron which Aaron dodges and grabs his arm.

Aaron: You are getting faster but next time, try hit me like you mean. He smirks.

Mason: Gah...you're even hard to hit out of your frakking space ship. Mason smiles. Good to see you again buddy.

Aaron lets go off Mason's arm and they give each other a friendly hug before taking their seats. Hikari sat down already and smile. She started hopping in her seat a little.

Hikari: Wow! We're all here again... wait.. Aaron..

Aaron: No..

Hikari: But..

Mason: Wha'?

Aaron: It is nothing amigo.

Hikari punches Aaron's shoulder. Aaron looks at Hikari and sighs.

Mason: For the love of... Tell me damn it!

Aaron: Relax amigo.. I have recently run into Bella again...a few weeks back..

Mason: Eh? No way. How is she?

Aaron: Safe..

Mason: What you mean by that?

Hikari takes her drink and sips it, holding onto the glass with both hands and listens to the conversation.

Aaron: Well, something happened to her while she was away, stationed on some ship called the Tribunal. I managed to find records of it and it showed that the were not any survivors. Also... Records indicate that the scrap from the ship was used for the production line. I have not managed to get any other information. I've taken Bella to Omicron-Minor in case Corsair elders wanted to hold her for questioning.

Mason puts his hands together and holds them. Well... Hikari sprays her drink from her mouth, realizing what Aaron just said. Mason and Aaron look at her.

Hikari: Sowi.. She smiles sweetly then looks down hoping Isabella is ok.

Aaron: Si, it is alright Hikari.

Mason: You okay sweety?

Hikari: Hai..

Mason turns back to Aaron. Well this is unpleasant. Its been so long since we've seen her and she was almost killed?! For fraks same dude, you should be there by her side!

Aaron looks down, unable to answer him. After a while, Mason stands up slams his fist onto the table.

Mason: Aaron! Wake up! This is no time for you to go into one of your stupid dazes!

Aaron looks up at Mason slowly and calmly says: Si, I suppose you are right..

Mason: Damn right I'm right! Wait... what?

Aaron: I should be with her.. as you say. Last time, I left her to be transported back to some base since a Bounty Hunter destroyed her ship. He clenches his fists. And I let him get away.

Hikari noticing Aaron getting angry moves over to him and hugs him gently. Aaron relaxes and looks at her. Gracias Hikari..

Mason sits back down and sighs heavily. We didn't save her for nothing..you know that right? Not a damn am I going to let her go down.

Hikari: Hai... Same here.

Aaron looks at them both. I see.. Maybe I should take you both with me to The Order's base to see her. Maybe it can make her better.. He sighs. She only seems normal from certain memories..

Mason looks at him. Eh? We aren't memories bud...at least I'm not. He smirks.

Aaron: Not funny amigo.

Mason: Wha'? I can joke can't I. You're too serious..

Aaron: This is a serious matter.

Mason: True.. Good to be optimistic once in your like you know.

Hikari smacks Mason over the head.

Mason: Ow!! What was that for?!

Hikari: You were serious before and now you're being immature. Stop it.

Mason looks away. Sorry.. He takes his drink, stands up and goes to the bar. Hikari sighs and looks at Aaron.

Aaron: I am fine. Go to him.

Hikari: Hai. She gets up and goes after Mason to the bar.

Mason looks behind himself then at his drink. Yo. Come to hit me again?

Hikari sits next to him and hugs him tight, closing her eyes. I'm sowi Mason-san. She starts crying. Mason hearing this turns to her and holds her tightly, putting his head on hers and closing his eyes.

Mason: Its ok sweety. Don't cry. You know how it breaks me inside when you cry..

Hikari cries more. Hai... I'm sorry Mason-san! Mason begins rocking her gently and holds her tighter.

Aaron looks up at glances at them for a second then down again. Bella.. You will be okay again.. I promise I will find a way to help you. There has to be someone who can help you if I cannot.. He stands up and heads for the exit to his ship. Jonah promptly stands in his way.

Jonah: Where'd ya tink' yah goin'? [Contributed by Somni.]

Aaron: To Isabella.. I should be with her.

Jonah: Yah,sure ya should, but why ya abandonin' yah friends now?

Aaron looks down and sighs. Si.. you are right. Everybody is right and I... I am making to many mistakes than I should be. Gracias senor Jonah..

Jonah: Dun' mention it,mon.

Aaron walks over to Mason and Hikari and joins them..

Jonah stood aside, leaning against the bar, satisfied. He motioned over to the bartender while pulling up a small dogend from behind his ear.

"Oi,mon.Whadd'ya tink' o dis lil' gatharin'? Touchin', ain' it?"

The bartender simply shrugged, and got back to washing the glasses.

Jonah slowly pulled out a small black lighter from a pocket on his piloting jacket, and lit the blunt. He stood there, enjoying himself.

Life was good.

Aaron, Mason and Hikari walk in and sit at an empty table.

Aaron: Okay.. I think I have come up with a plan. We however have to get back to doing things like we have done before. I have to report back to Planet Crete because I might be promoted to an Elder. I should be there when this happens. Mason should report back to Java Station and continue to do his job there. When the time is right, I shall call us back to Islay and pick you both up to go to Omicron-Minor where Bella is so we can see her. Is this okay with you?

Hikari and Mason looks at each other then back at Aaron.

Hikari: Hai.. I guess so.

Mason: Yeah. We can't spend too much time not working. Time still goes on right? He winks.

Hikari looks down. Hai. Its just.. She sighs.

Aaron and Mason look at her.

Aaron: Just what?

Hikari: We never get to spend great amounts of time together like we use to...Poor Bella.. Hikari looks at Aaron. You have to make a plan for us to see her!

Aaron: I will...it will just take time. Be patient for it.

Mason: Yeah yeah yeah. I have Outcasts to shoot so I'm cool. He winks again.

Aaron: Si... I guess so. You should really calm down about them. They are humans after all..

Mason: Meh.. Who else can I shoot then? They keep taxing the miners and stealing.

Aaron: Its their way of making a living. They are not rich. Oh... Hikari. You should talk to Mason... he should know. I need to leave.

Aaron gets up. Mason and Hikari get up too and Aaron hugs Hikari and shakes Mason's hand.

Aaron: We will meet again.. It will not be long.

He turns around and leaves for the exit while Mason and Hikari sit down.

Mason: So what was he talking about?...

The Green Hell Beergarden - The Banger Grim - 02-11-2011

Matthew Grim powers down his craft and disembarks onto the primary Islay bay.

He wordlessly pays his parking fee to the dockmaster while a pair of workers unload the Claymores cargo hold, consisting of only four escape pods.

Five minutes later, he enters Murphy Central. Hells primary cavern, sixty-six levels underneath the stations primary operations.

He walks through the main alleyway to the middle area that serves as a small approximation of a public park, leading four hooded men: bound, gagged and daisy-chained together at the necks as if they were dogs.

Silently, he stands and watches patiently as curious onlookers line the perimeter of the circular park until the normal hum of Hells daily activity is replaced with the dull roar of hushed murmurs of curiosity seekers.

He reaches into the pocket of his duster and tosses a small sphere into the air and it positions itself, hovering close by.

In an instant, the twenty four massive monitors spaced and bolted across the span of the rocky ceiling switch from the regular outside feed of the Islay ice cloud, changing to broadcast the face of the Banger Grim across them all.

With a showman's' flair, his deep, amplified Voice booms across the cavern:

"Gaians! All of you! Ladies and Gentlemen! Children and Peers! Natives and pirates, poseurs and pilots! Direct your attention to the center ring and open your goddamned ears!"

"It was over thirty years ago that we began to build this niche! Over thirty long years to make this place a home! Over thirty years of Union blood and sacrifice to turn this once inert hole into a truly, living Hell!"

"Since then, one by one, willingly or otherwise, each of you have come here to take your opportunities for drink and pleasure!"

"In Hell you have fought and eaten, screwed and screamed, rejoiced and hated and hurt!"

"Now, I must openly admit with specific regret that the perpetual atrophy in the roots of the Gaian cause has now crystallized issues that have been slowly growing like a tumor over the decades!"

"...However today will be different! Today Gaia begins to push the so-called forces of Nature back into a natural balance by way of the snarling jaws of the Beasts of Nature!...Today I offer a small reminder of the many things it takes to truly own the privilege of calling yourselves Gaians!!"

In line, one by one, Matthew tears the hoods off the heads of the four men and only separates the chains that connect three of them.

Starting on the far left, Matt locks his eyes onto the one in front of him and simultaneously adressess both captive and crowd without wavering his gaze from the Maltan.

"Outcast! Your very existence is a perverted abomination of natural evolution! You and yours are nothing but a nation of junkies and an active participant in spreading an orange cancer to all that you touch!"

"Choke on the poison that enslaves you."

The old Gaian pulls a stalky bushel of fresh cardimine from another pocket, rips away the prisoners gag, and violently shoves it down the Spaniard's throat until the mans neck turns a disturbing black and blue from severe subcutaneous damage that forces the man to drown in his own blood.

Stepping over the collapsed body, He moves to the next in line.

"Bretonian Mineral Miner! Your choice of employment is the epitome of the banality of evil! Your mundane existence through life in the simplistic pursuit of a paycheck has blinded you to the damage you regularly inflict upon the very universe that saw fit to gift you with sentience.

"You choose not to see, therefore, sight is wasted on you."

The old man flanks his hands around the sides of the BMM employees head and digs his thumbs into the mans eye sockets, twisting the optic nerves around his opposable digits and yanking out what remains by the root.

"Orbital Spa and Cruiseman! You cater to the whims of the rich and powerful as they holiday carefree above the daily rape of Gaia below them. Her screams of pain drowned out by the deafeningly shallow sounds of the revelous distractions you provide for them!

"Nature only knows how to give what it gets and it will have its revenge."

The Banger Grim removes the gun from its holster under his coat, stalks behind the terrified man, sticks the barrel into cheeks of the Cruiseman's backside, and fires.

Matthew now turns to the last man in line.

Planetformer! You hold a very special place in my heart because everything about you and yours does nothing but break it time and again.

You I condemn to to remain pristine and unmarred. Doomed to lifelong imprisonment in perfect health here in Hell.

...Very much unlike the synthetically accelerated metamorphosis you force upon the many cells of the Living Universe in the name of shortsighted, ignorant Human 'progress' and profit.

Nature evolves on her own time line, but never on ours.

You will experience the rest of your long days perpetually agonizing alone in a cage, becoming intimate with the acute suffering of a very slow and lonely death.

Yanking the chain still connected to the Planetformers neck, the old man drags the gagged and protesting animal to his jail, his muffled fearful screams of protest and anger echoing through the otherwise now remarkably silent cavern.

"So, what do we have now?" Sequoia asked herself, standing in the middle of cavern and staring at the screens, composing in the presentation of summary of the radical ideology. Under the spreading chestnut tree Sequoia somehow felt herself more comfortable while listening to the rumbling Banger's voice. Examining faces of Gaian everymen, listening to it, watching to the rather savage picture with a whole rainbow of hate, fear, disdain, embrassment, the feeling of unity, the feeling of moral superiority and wilingness to bite someone's head off.

And here they were - the heroes of youthful romantic students, of sensecent housekeepers that felt an urge for beauty, of gilded youth on London, where parcels with plants from Gaia had replaced synthetic products under the tables of night clubs. Here they were, the people drawn as ones with faith in bright future for Bretonia by the Green Front boys and girls on streets, and as the radical protectors of the beauty and nature's rights as they were called by those politicans in Parlament.

Here they were, listening to the two minutes of hate.

Sequoia wrinkled, imagining the certain degree of dissapointment somewhere in the part of her brain, responsible for the romantic ideals. They claimed that they were founded on love or justice, but what she saw was hatred - well, while she always accused Grim in radicalizing, mixing everything in the same pot, she somehow agreed with the fact that such an inspiration may be useful for someone in a deep despair. But not with her.

"Idea of doing somethin truly is an amusing concept. You agree with someone and only then you do something 'truly'. And what we have in the end? Dying while hating them that we tend to call "freedom", Sequoia sighed, breaking the quiet of the cube meters around her that had came to a standstill after the loudspeakers lapsed into silence. She never was good in wording her philosophical approaches to life.

The Green Hell Beergarden - Raeder - 02-11-2011

-Applause came from the entrance, Dr Zhukovski had been watching Grim's little presentation, he had another man, a crouching man, in a tight radioactive suit, with a gasmask on his face, the smaller man walked as if cripped-

'Fantastic performance Mr Grim'

His words screamed of honesty, he walked down towards where the three bodies lay, his lips showing an never ending smile, from one ear to the other.

'It would seam that since where active Gaians have indeed grown.. Weaker..'

He chuckles and walks over to a table, sitting down talking in a low voice with the crouching man walking beside him, chuckles is heard as they both continue their personal conversation.
He drinks from a bottle, not minding the bar.

*Jonah observed the whole ordeal from the shady corner. Then he heard the words, from the new stranger. His jasper eyes glistened with rage,as he pulled his kukri from his waist-holster.He stood up silently, and walked over to the stranger, following him to the table. He approaches the man, leaps on the table, and leans the broad razor-sharp blade to his throat, his eyes wild with fury.*

"Mind sayin' dat again, mon? I dun' care who you be,but NOONE insults da Cause an' mista' Grim. Noone. Start explainin,or start screamin'."

*He pierced the stranger with a madman's glare.*

The Green Hell Beergarden - Raeder - 02-11-2011

Dr Shukovski stares at the brutish man, he has all the respect for apes after all..

'Now now.. You misunderstood my statement.. '

'I said that some Gaian..'

He looks around, chuckling..

'Have become weak, and apparently can't do what is needed for.. The cause.. I have all the respect for Mr Grim.. After all, he has been an Gaian for a long long time..'

How ever, even if Dr Zhukovski stood still, his companion stood up, now from a crouch, to his full height of 2 metres.. He said in a rasping voice..

'Perhaps.. Lower.. The.. Blade.. Friend..'

Matthew re-enters the central cavern, fresh from throwing the planetformer in jail to rot in good health. As he walks the thoroughfare past the bars, shops and brothels, he notices three distinct things. People that smile and want to shake his hand as they pass him, people that nervously avert their eyes and give a very wide berth as he passes, and people that do nothing and just simply pass him as he passes them.

He notices Sequoia sitting under a tree and has the wisdom to recognize the thoughts that dwell behind the look on her face.

The old man takes a seat at the base of her tree, making a point to sit opposite of her. She, facing north and he facing south.

A few minutes pass in silence before Banger breaks it.

"Nature truly is a beautiful thing isn't it?"

Sequoia understood that the question was a rhetorical statement of fact and it didn't require a response.

Another minute or so passes before the man spoke again.

"I was alot like you when I was your age you know." He said.

"When I was finally old enough to begin University back in 759, I started to attend many of the student protests on the quad primarily as a tool to meet people. It didn't matter to me what they were protesting about, it's just, at the time, that's what people did. I had a pretty average and very sheltered upper-middle class upbringing, so back then, I really had nothing to be truly angry about because I've never really experienced what true injustice felt like in any of its forms. I simply feigned anger and protested in the attempts to discover what kind of man it was that I wanted to become, and which people I could relate to most."

Matthew pulls a joint rolled from his latest test crop of 'organic synthweed' lights it, and takes a long hit before continuing:

"The Gaian protests were my favorites though. Not because I cared anything of what they were about honestly, but really only because Gaian protests drew the hottest, most hedonistic women. Ultimately, the bottom line is, it was my johnson that eventually led me here to Edinburgh."

"I was a player though, I knew all the right things to say and all the right times to say them. I mean, as a kid, I can remember all the times my dad turning on the media wall in the 40's and watching the news reports on the couch with him of Gaian attacks against the BMM over the Cobalt on Gaia and the violence of the Gaian blood riots on New London. Anyway, college chicks tend to get moist around dudes that can tell them what they want to hear, and I preferred to moisten the pro-Gaian girls more than the rest."

"Eventually, within a few years I started to truly sympathize with their cause to the point where I was leading the protests instead of just attending them. That put me in a position to begin actually meeting real Edinburgh Gaians. I was approached one day by a Green Front representative and that led to my making weekly trips here to Islay, well away from the prying eyes of the government to coordinate the public face of the movement on the Cambridge campus."

Banger takes another long draw of smoke.

"So, getting to the part where I say 'In other words' My preconceptions of what the Gaians were before I ever met one was almost completely different than what they actually were in reality. I really had to admire the Green Front's skill at media manipulation, because back in the day, they were true masters at it in every sense of the word.

I was eventually blacklisted by the government for my publicly pro-Gaian stance. I was expelled from school, I couldn't rent an apartment, I couldn't get a job, and hell, I couldn't even legally leave Planet Cambridge for a fresh start in another House because the crown invalidated my passport. I was trapped on the breadbasket of Bretonia and I began to starve to death, homeless and alone. I was malnourished, I was desperate, and the Gaians saved my life by smuggling me off-world and bringing me here."

"I forever owe them an unpayable debt."

"Anyway, as I was saying, back in the 60's, actual Gaians were far removed from the Green Front-media created romantic myth popular with a naive young subculture searching for idealistic heroes to emulate."

"In reality, they were many things. Mostly though, they were an uncompromising people willing to take life for their cause just as equally as they were willing to give up their own for it."

"In my many moons of drawing breath, I've seen untold hundreds of disillusioned recruits with dreams and aspirations of heroic valor, vaporize in the pragmatic brutality of the life they were grossly unprepared to face."

"Now, If I may: Your fatal flaw, sweetheart, is that you, like so many others before you, willingly fall into the myth-trap. You and people like you seem to treat this life as if it were some sort of game where good can triumph over evil, wrongs can be righted with words and slogans, and the boy can ride off into the sunset with the girl and live happily ever after."

"Trust me...choosing this life as a Gaian is not a game by any stretch of the imagination."

"The reality is that you are blinded to the very nature of Nature. While you're preoccupied with the panoramic beauty of it and Utopian fantasies based upon it, you've yet to recognize the true beauty of it. The true beauty lies within the absolute perfect balance of it. A predator that kills to eat in the veldt is equally as beautiful as a sunset."

"Good and evil do not exist
Right and wrong does not exist
Heroes and villains do not exist
Gods and devils do not exist
These are simply constructs of the limited human mind."

"In Nature, the only thing that truly exists is balance and imbalance. Those that fail to understand that, fail to survive past their youth and are returned early to the ash."

"You may not like to hear the reality of all this right now, but if you do not internalize this absolute truth, your sentience will be wasted when Nature calls to claim your life."

The Green Hell Beergarden - Vizzini - 02-12-2011

Will snaps out of a dream "whoa, seems I dozed off" Will looks around and acts like nothing happened. "I need something to wake me up, bartender one chartreuse" Will takes a shot, sets the glass on the counter and shouts "hit me"
