Nikolai had to think about it for a moment. "And what made you apply for the Coalition?" That was a good question. But what was the answer? The need for honour and fame? To prove something? Clearly not. But although he could deny some possibilities, Nikolai was not able to find the real reason.

"Time, my friend. The times change, and the people with it."

"Da.. you're right, I believe I've changed as well, or at least I'm trying to do so now.. however, you must be given a chance.." With that, Ivan leaned back again, folding his hands, attempting to clear his mind. He really hoped he was next.

As David had walked from his office, Vladimir decided he had dealt with enough of the same droll routine; none of the applicants seemed to be getting smarter. Again, Vladimir removed himself from his desk in an abrade fashion, pulling what appeared to be a helmet from the desk with him.

Vladimir took his exit from the office, grabbing a sign from the handle as well, and closing the door behind him. He looked across the lobby, holding up his mask towards Alicia, before sliding it over his head. She instantly took the hint and reached under her desk, looking for her own mask. Once she was secure Vladimir casually walked over to the wall and pulled a switch, the sound of air rapidly rushed into the room, soon followed by a green vapor.

The toxic gas covered the entire lobby in less than a minute. The Commissar turned his attention to the applicants, giving them a brief wave as a final send off. Vladimir walked back to his closed office door, and put the sign on the door;

'€œPlease clean. Recruitment is closed.'€

With that, he left the lobby along with Alicia, leaving the remaining applicants to suffocate to their inevitable deaths.

The Commandant of the Fighter Corps stood relaxed and calm on the observation platform. Through the glass below him, a large room was currently being cleaned and the appropriate décor installed. Today would be judgement day for an huge number of people. Intelligence reports had stated that since the beginning of Propaganda broadcasts, a large number of people had viewed and listened to the words of the Coalition. Today, the Coalition rung the school bell and awaited the hordes of screaming children into their midst.

Not content with how the previous recruitment was run, and anxious to ensure that quality rather than quantity entered his Fighter Corps - Commandant Xu was oddly looking forward to overseeing this endeavour. Or would it be a massacre? He asked himself. He wandered down to the lounge area.

"Comrade Alicia. Good to meet you. Please send out a wideband communication to all systems that the Trotsky in Omega-50 is open for business.
He turned round and headed to one of the secure rooms behind the receptionists desk. He sat down and awaited the recruits to come in.

As a shuttle landed on the Trotsky, a large man stepped off, he looked around before following the signs up to the Lounge Area, he walked up to the Lady behind the desk.

Good Morning Miss, I am here for the Recruitment that was announced on the Wideband Communication System. My name is Aaron Miller

The woman looked up at Aaron and gave him a brochure

Have a Seat Mr.Miller, someone will be with you Shortly.

Aaron nodded and turned around, he took a seat in the Lounge and began to read the brochure.

Xu thumbed through some combat reports when Alicia's message pinged his computer. He rose and headed into the Lounge. Looking at the man named Miller pointedly, he eventually made a decision.

"You. This way."
He turned round and headed to his secure room where the recruit entered and two guards followed him in, flanking either side. The Commandant picked up a shotgun and smashed it over the recruits head, bringing him to his knees. Xu stood over him, with the shotgun resting casually over his shoulder. The guards held the recruit down.

"Good morning, I trust you are now suitably awake. First question, who sent you?"

Aaron followed the man before he got knocked over the head, he looked around as he was being held down, he looked into the mans eyes

"No One sent me. I heard the Wideband Communication and the Propganda down on Volgograd, that is why i am here"

He looked at the man with a serious yet respectful face, he didnt know what caused this, but then again , to his knowledge he had done nothing wrong.

"I am here for a chance to join the glorious Fighter Corps, Comrade Commandant"

By the patch on the mans shoulder Aaron knew his rank. He had studied the Fighter Corps in his youth on Volgograd

Xu tilted his head to the site, apparently confused.

"You lie. With a name like "Miller" you cannot possibly be from Volgograd."
He lent back against the table and drew the shotgun up the recruits head.

"Start talking, if you're truly from Volgograd - Tell me where you were hiding during the Candlelit Vigil."

Aaron stared directly into the barrel of the gun and spoke, calmly, yet inside, he was unsure of what was to happen to him next

" I was at home with my father, Comrade. We were having dinner at the time the reports were coming in. My father had just gotten back from work."

Aaron motioned his head to his back pocket where he kept his papers , wanting the Commandant to look at them.

"I always carry my papers with me, they are in my back pocket , they will prove to you i am not lying"

Aaron looked at the Commandant with a straight face, he was hoping he would atleast take the shotgun out of his face and check his papers. His father was right, always carryig your papers with you was important.
