RE: Multibox to Transfer Equipment? - Mickk - 09-25-2013 Last I heard, multi boxing was severely frowned upon and results in sanctions/banning. A mod/admin, will probably say something later, but I would avoid trying to multibox in any way, shape or fashion. RE: Multibox to Transfer Equipment? - Thargoid - 09-25-2013 I seem to remember in another thread that it's allowed but only for this reason, or they at least turn a blind eye or something. I don't really see a problem with it, if you're only multiboxing for a few seconds while you tranfer equipment. If I someone really wanted to multibox and get away with it there are loads of ways it can be done, not going to list them here for obvious reasons. I don't even know why you'd bother, it must be a right pain in the rear playing two instances of a game at once. RE: Multibox to Transfer Equipment? - Thargoid - 09-25-2013 OK then how about I get my GF to play Freelancer on my laptop for a few seconds while I transfer the equipment, she'd just be following my instructions. Her username would be something like "ThargoidEquipmentSlave" or something and she'd only log on when I need to transfer equipment. Don't see the difference though between that and multiboxing... Not only that but I wouldn't trust her to play it, she'd probably agree to fight an Eagle in Conn while flying a Starflea with a 120M cloak in the cargo hold. That would probably be ok, because there would be TWO people playing, each controlling a ship. As far as the other thing goes, you might be surprised if you can convince your GF to play. Once she gets the hang of it, she may be better at it than you :p RE: Multibox to Transfer Equipment? - NoMe - 09-25-2013 (09-25-2013, 11:12 AM)Thargoid Wrote: Maybe they could come up with a method of allowing users to transfer equipment? if you want you can do that it work but far of base or planet and after have seen on the patrol lane etc etc it's difficult. if you want i'm in game now pm me i look in 5 minutes RE: Multibox to Transfer Equipment? - Mickk - 09-26-2013 (09-25-2013, 09:32 PM)NoMe Wrote:(09-25-2013, 11:12 AM)Thargoid Wrote: Maybe they could come up with a method of allowing users to transfer equipment? You used to be able to do that, but it takes some doing and I wouldn't do it with something like a cloak. What I used to do was find a quiet spot away from everything, fly both ships to the same area, drop a bot/bat, log off with that ship, log on with the other ship, locate the bat/bot I had dropped and log the receiving off, log the sending ship back on, drop the actual item to transferred, log off, log the other ship and if I was lucky tractor the item in. It worked *most* of the time.... RE: Multibox to Transfer Equipment? - Durandal - 09-26-2013 It's fine for just transferring equipment. Don't do it for anything else. |
