My idea is more focussed to the "casual transport action", yours more to the "convoy action". I like both ideas, but overall, obviously, I prefer mine, hoping that it would focus the activity more for some amounts of time, while the convoy idea focuses activity more to one event, which is also fine. So, now, after shamelessly promoting my idea again, I'd like to say that I really like your idea and think it would be great to see it ingame at some point. It would give the more organized groups, be it official factions or just non-official groups, something to do together. Though I feel like they will quickly be swarmed by pirates with that announcement going out. What does this mean? Lets say the traders need to deliver nuclear incinerators from New Tokyo to Gran Canaria (for the zoner breeding stations ofc), if the pirates will kill them closer to the destination, they could sell it to local smugglers\fences for higher sums as they have less risk in the delivery (inRP). So, we would make that as the convoy gets closer and closer to its final destination, more and more daring attempts to attack it would be made. Also, take in the amount of the escorts/traders as a factor for the distance that is needed to travel, as a small party that will have to travel a long distance will have much less of a chance surviving than a larger one. Anyway, this idea is awesome. RE: Disco Cargo Delivery Event Plugin Project - Xoria - 10-31-2013 I approve. I think this should also require a minimum player count so that they can't be run when the server population is so low that a convoy mission is essentially risk free extra credits. |
