so what is 2.01 and 2.02 best used for in each situation? Should i just use 2.01 if i want to do some trading?

Not sure of the difference to be honest, it's just that 2.01 tells you the prices of Ore, whereas 2.02 doesn't, it's only useful if you're a miner or you're getting filled by a miner, or performing cargo piracy on miners.
Both of them can be used for standard commodity trading as all of the information needed is stored in the INI files on your local computer.

That's what I meant, Ore prices are dynamic, are there any other commodities that aren't?

They are new, but they're not set up to be dynamic, all thier info is still stored in the ini files.

have you set it to read from the same folder where you installed the disco mod?
It's under settings too.
"Set freelancer directory".
Mind you it needs to be set to whatever version/folder of freelancer you're playing at the time.
i.e. /program files/discovery
If yes, then it should have all you need.
