Black Heads Up Display - jammi - 08-05-2008 If you can change the colour of the HUD without using a mod, can it be set to transparant? That would aid photoshooting and ilming alot. Black Heads Up Display - Spear - 08-05-2008 Yeah tell us how to do this without use of a mod please! I been playing FL for along time now and a little change in display would be nice :D Black Heads Up Display - Exile - 08-05-2008 ' Wrote:Your not allowed to use those HUD colour mods while playing on Discovery. It's against the rules. Sorry. It's quite true. Long time back, i was in a conversation with Hoodlum and Bulldognk. I showed them a screenshot of something, with a red hud. They banned me untill i changed it back. Remember kids, just say no! :) P.S: That means mods and manualy done. Both mess with the NPC's on the server. Black Heads Up Display - RParade - 08-05-2008 I'm guessing this is what you're talking about. It's a simple modification that alters the color (and only the color) of the default UI. Everything still appears exactly the same way as it did before, it's just the blue is replaced with black (even the various tracer visuals are still present). I've been using this HUD for a few years now and I've never had any troubles/complaints with it. Quote:Both mess with the NPC's on the server. This only happens if you actually change the UI (as in, you change the actual layout of buttons n' such and/or how they act). Changing the color of the HUD doesn't effect anything. It's not possible to change the color of your UI without "modding" various files. Technically I suppose that does make it a violation of Discovery's rules, but it hasn't stopped me from using this HUD simply because I know I'm not hurting anyone by using it. *Shrug* You can set the HUD color to be transparent, but the end result is not desireable (you'll still be able to see parts of the HUD that can't be changed without actually changing UI layouts). |
