Keep bats and bots, remove any ways to acquire them except buying them from a station you're docked at.

/thread, pls.

If we could somehow remove the ability for them to be transferable in a trade window it would be great, you can also stop them being dropped in space, I know you can't jettison an unequipped ID, so it can be done.

There's a difference between fighting in Conn and fighting inRP.

I suppose I wouldn't mind seeing bot/batts reduced in number per ship, and also much more expensive (maybe like 5k/ea) . I think that would be a better solution.

Do we really need to post about capship bot-using mechanics and their role in large scale engagements again and again?
Delete em from snubs, buff the hull points accordingly, everyone will be happy (or so it seems). Don't touch other classes, please, they're fine.

It may not seem like it, but botts/batts are actually there to stop fights from being too short. If not it would be too easy to drop a line and blow someone up. It can already happen as it is. In a way you never know what someone will do so it pays to have your finger on the button just in case.

However, I'd try it with upping some hull strengths, ditching botts and doubling the amount of batts, but it'll never happen.

I vote other.

See multirepair and healing plug-ins.
The Multirepair allows different bot and bat classes for different ships to be added, the healing plugin would enable repair guns check the topic that I linked. It solves the problem a bit.

Also they cannot be deleted from snubs because this would remove the meaning of burst fire damage dealers like MR and Nuke. Reducing them by half is better, combine this with no more bot feeding from other ship classes and it fixed the snub bot feeding problem, even if there is one dedicated bot feeder it is not worth it since he cannot deliver much nanos fast enough if every ship have like 24-35 nanos only.

Shield batteries are essential, you could get rid of Nanobots without much of a problem though. It would stop bot feeding, which is really unfair in a snub fight, nearly everytime there's a snub fight between lawfuls and unlawfuls in NY, a Navy cap shows up to feed the Navy snubs.
I don't understand how you can argue that it's part of a good strategy for some people, but the usage of bot/bat transfer is bad strategy in others. Seems like it's just when you don't like it that you're against it.

I'm fully ok with New York and other capitals being hard to assault because there are more, and better equipped, enemies. Don't like it? Withdraw and strike at another area later.

Voted no.

I'm ready to go for it. Back in time I was playing on Void server there was gentlemen rule not to use bots\bats in pvp. And it was cool.

RE: Removing Nano Bots/ Shield Batts - Haste - 01-01-2014

Without Nanobots / Shield Batteries, group fights with players that can aim well would be over incredibly quickly.

As in, targets would die within a minute or so tops.

I'm not sure that's the extreme we want to be going for.

Yes, but only partially.

Remove bots in CAP combat by just upping hull strength.
=> no stupid bot-feeding.

Half all bots on snubs
