Dear Guildmembers,

Today's mission was much harder than expected. After encountering a large Corsair warfleet, the objectives had to be rearranged and parts of it had to be postponed.

Operational Objective:
  • Supplying Cameron Solar Port - Completed
  • Surveying the Laacher See Cloud - Postponed

Step 1: Supplying of Cameron:

We managed to get the necessary goods in, even though the transport Cherry Kiss was caught by the complete pirate fleet after jumping into O5 from O9.

Some more shipments made it through during the fighting, so that the supply crisis could be averted just in time.

Step 2: Surveying the Laacher Lake Cloud:

After the discovery of the Corsair warfleet, survey ships had to be removed from the danger zone. They were replaced by fighting ships. The Surveying Mission was postponed.

Step 3: Omega 9 Fighting:

In the fighting, the IMG suffered losses of 2 snubcraft and also the Battlecruiser Biscayne Bay was badly damaged in its second attack against the Corsair warfleet.

The ship has been retreived and towed back to Aland. We do not expect it to be back in space for a week.

The enemy side suffered numerous casualties, too. Confirmed kills were a Cruiser, a Gunboat and some snubcraft. It was hard to see in the dense Laacher Lake Nebula who was shot down.

It's noteworthy that the Corsairs could be forced to retreat after a Rheinland warship entered Omega 9 to batttle the Corsair warships. IMG Bombers on the scene decided to close cover it, and consequently the Corsairs retreated into Omega 5. Allied forces did not give chase.
