Benitez Feedback - Tequilla.Sunrise - 08-10-2008 I see, well it is glad to see he was punished for such blatant transgressions, and that relations with the Benitez will remain friendly. Was a little worried there that there might be an inter-Corsair war, and as we're fairly new (and hoping to steer clear of politics) something like that could very well prove to be our undoing. This ain't so much a faction feedback but something for your members, you need to integrate into disco better. Join a few factions which aren't too time intensive, get to know the community more, make some friends outside of Benitez. As it is, probably at least 2/3 of your members are unknown outside of the Benitez, makes you guys real easy to hate. The only face the community/other corsairs see, is pretty much Carlo's actions/words, so every time you make a mistake Carlos, it costs Benitez hard, if all the members were better known community members, it'd lessen the blows. As for the faction, what I don't like about the Benitez, and what gets on my nerve the most, is your attempt o be all nice. We're Corsairs. People who've survived so far through years of violence and crime. We ain't nice people. The fact that the Benitez try and juggle being a criminal organization/family, and being all nice and gentlemanly, just doesn't work. You're a criminal organization, act like it. Another thing, kinda links into the first, freaking integrate. The main points that always comes up in Benitez-flaming, is that they're always trying to do their own thing. Enemies in Theta? Corsairs want to go to Theta to fight them there, Benitez insist on waiting for them at Crete. All those little things keep you/make you not quite 'one of us'. At the moment, most Benitez members act as if (this was reflected when the Corsair registry was forced, several members refused/still refuse to sign it just because they have Benitez alts) being a Benitez makes them special, different from the Corsairs in general, if you act different how can you blame us for treating you different? Basically, behave. Benitez Feedback - Jose Benitez - 08-26-2008 Mule thanks for the feed back regarding the Benitez. I have a few questions.... Do you know for a fact that most of the Benitez do not belong to other factions or is this something that you have decided based on your dealings with us? Equally, how is it that you know whether our players are well known outside of the Corsairs? I will admit that I do not know in detail who belongs to what but I am curious as to what you have based this view point on? The underlying suggestion seems to be that you are accusing us (as individuals) of not participating on the disco forums? Again I'm curious as to how it is that you know this? Just because we do not post using Benitez names? It's a bit of a shame that you have used the expression that "you guys are real easy to hate". You hate us? Literally? Also can you please explain why it is that if all of the Benitez alter ego's were out in the open how the 'blows' might be lessened - or is this remark aimed specifically at Carlos? The Benitez, as individuals, do not generally feel that Carlos does make mistakes, so if by mistakes you are actually referring to a statement or position with which you do not agree then that does not make it a mistake. It makes it a different view point to your own - surely you cannot believe that you are the only person with a valid view point? I'm also a little bit confused by what you mean when you say that the Benitez are 'nice'? If by this you mean that we do not conform to the comedy pirate from the Pirates of the Carribean or a crew member of Long John Silvers crew (complete with comedy parrot), then you are obviously correct. There are others far better suited to that role than we are (certainly than I am). I'm also intrigued by why you think we are not integrated? If you mean why have we not agreed to the Corsair registry for instance then I (personally and not speaking for the Benitez) would ask why should I agree with something that I absolutely do not agree with, had absolutely no input in, and see it as detrimental to the development of players RP? Also are you telling me that the only people that have not signed the registry are Benitez, and their alts? I would not say that being Benitez makes me (or anyone else) special. It does make me different, but in the same way that I'd be different if I was an independant. Why can't the Benitez have a different view point to others? If I'd (personally) shared more views/opinions with other Corsair groups I'd probably have joined them. Finally, I'd just like to say that I find your final comment suggesting that I (and the rest of the Benitez) should 'behave' to be moderately offensive. It suggests that if I am not prepared to roleplay in the style that you feel is right then I am 'misbehaving' (unless you want to expand on what you actually meant?). I dare say that this will open the flood (or indeed flame) gates and that I will be shot down here. But so be it. Benitez Feedback - mwerte - 08-26-2008 Coming from an Outcast, I like the Benitiz. Always interesting to have them around. Even if it seems there are less of them then other groups. Always happy for a shoot-up in Gamma. Good RP and lots of fun. I'm just sad that my Bretonian GB didn't get a chance to send some of you back to crete with your tails between you legs and without the guy you came to rescue. It looked like fun. Benitez Feedback - MarvinCZ - 09-07-2008 About the juvenile Benitez in NL... They could sometimes act like they are on enemy territory in a weak LF. Not taunting BAF Templars and relying on their underlevel invulnerability. Of course we won't touch them, but they could play along... Edit: This sounds too strong. Most of the time we don't see the Benitez there, they keep a low profile. That's great. But when we meet it could be better... Benitez Feedback - Jose Benitez - 09-07-2008 Hola Marvin My apologies for the events earlier - it will not happen again. It was unfortunate that we were on the last mission to obtain full Corsair status - and we were reluctant to give it up (the mission that is). In addition to this, one of our number was not a juvenile - and was present only to escort the Juvenile back to Gamma. We will strive to prevent this situation from happening again. Jose Benitez Feedback - MarvinCZ - 09-08-2008 ' Wrote:Hola Marvin Sure, you don't have to abort missions because of us... Just the speech, and/or maybe back off a bit if it seems reasonable. It will make for more enjoyable <strike>engagements</strike> interactions. Benitez Feedback - Jihadjoe - 09-08-2008 Speaking as an Outcast, you guys are always fun... INteresting time with two of your new gunboats in Alpha yesterday, Pantheon had me on about 1% hull before I regened... That was close. Looks like you need to update the roster a little, because it would appear Zavier has come out of retirement. BUt yeh, no complaints from me at all. Infact a little praise instead. Benitez Feedback - Zavier - 09-08-2008 Actually, Zavier himself is still stuck on the Prometheus off in nomadland, so he can't "come out of retirement", Joe.:P Instead, when I have my gaming rig back, the capital ships are flown by Sub-commander Eduardo and the one-man vessels flown by Sub-commander Pedro... Hope that clears it up for you.:) Benitez Feedback - Carlos_Benitez - 10-27-2008 Initial post has been updated with a list of topics and pages related to the familia that may be useful. In particular, please note a topic in the "Recruitment" forum (linked to on Page1) which outlines our admissions procedure. |
