lets start with one faction, and learn all the wrinkles that arise from balance issues, and then gradually introduce it to other low activity factions. I like Synthpaste Manufacturing Assemblies, Wildlife Relocation Modules (Gaians), Cardamine Crystals (OC), Artifact Display Cabinets (sairs), Orbital Mirrors (planetform), Jumpgate Navigation Computers (LH/Ageira), Hull Panel Manufacturing Assemblies (Samura), Semiconductor Fabrication Plant (kishiro)... the list goes on and on.

However, each one needs to be balanced in terms of route, cargo size and value. which seems like work, so lets stick to working out how hard the work is by working through the work for OSC, seeing as those guys are putting in a lot of work, trying to make a faction work that hasn't really worked in the past. Here's hoping it all works out.

Well, you're saying a lot about "manufacturing assemblies" and "Fabrication plants"......are you talking about entire factories? Or just heavy industrial equipment of sorts?

It seems improbable that an entire factory would fit inside of a cargo ship, even a 5ker. Parts of it, sure. So, that may need a bit of rewording, imo.

Edit: *sigh*....wrong account. Tongue

hello wrong account. Big Grin

im obv ot talking about entire factories, but the plant that sits inside. some machinery for manufacturing can be immense - 20mx20m and require special escorts and police outriders to get it from the port to the site. when these things are trasnported, they take up a lot more room than an iso container, and being an irregular shape, won't tesselate into the iso matrix very well, meaning that one large blast furnace can take up the space of around 8 iso containers.

space manufacturing has an advantage over planet based - there is no gravity. consequently the blast furnaces can be huge - 100m x 100m. these are the things im thnking of.

yes please, i;d love it if someone came up with some infocards, thanks Big Grin
