Hey there.
You seem to have enough idea of what you are doing. Trade around for a few days. Stick to Pennyslvania till you get atleast a BWT or something higher.
Before that, buy a mammoth and continue your helium mining in Pennysylvania till you get around 50 million to live on.

Already read some faction join request post, where I saw that skype is essential in order to members communicate, but the problem is that I don't really use it :|
Is it a criteria to have a skype account, or it is not that important?

Hey! Welcome.
As for Skype, a lot of factions list it as nessacery. It makes a lot of organisation and speaking with members easier. If your not going to use it, but are looking at joining one of the factions, speak with the leadership, see if they are happy with you not using it.
Skype in General is not essential for playing here though. You can still contact many people through forum PMs if you need something (like admin/moderator support).
Hopefully that clears a few things up for you , and I hope you enjoy your time here.

After making friends here, mining there, I decided that skype account is worth having, so I made one :p
Not really hard to guess, but yeah, my skype name is inequitychaos
