I swear I saw something about this recently in the RP message dump. But I am not 100% sure.

Comm ID: Admiral Christopher Phelps

As of now the TAZ are no longer welcome in Liberty. If sighted they are to be escorted out, and if they utter one word in resistance do not hesitate to take them down. This is the second time they've hopped to the other side of the law in Liberty, it's time they learn neutrality isn't free.

Recently a liner lead me on a chase through New York loaded to the brim with cardimine

As you can see he was destroyed after a very long chase. Thusly until they've paid for their crimes they are no longer welcome to tread on our beloved home. Moving on... the spare guns found by Commodore Willows in the vaults will be awarded to the four pilots who seem most deserving.

Lastly, for all mercenaries. Due to repeated attacks on the Liberty Navy, another ban will take place in approximately three days, excluding the Jupiter's Guild. If you wish to remain in Liberty, contact me ASAP for contracts, otherwise you'll be escorted out.

That's it for now folks, Admiral Phelps terminating transmissions

Transmission ends....

Theres the post, and as for them saying 'leave or die', that was extremely out of the ordinary, and they shouldn't have done it.

But, the ban is in place.

Escorted out doesnt evolve killing, so he stepped over his bounds there.

Why exactly, are Mercenaries banned from Liberty? If it's because they tend to take jobs against Liberty forces, of course they do. That's their job. They also help the Liberty forces frequently. Things like this are what push people to join the unlawfuls in Liberty, only creating more problems for the Navy (Which has enough independant allies to dominate Sirius at this stage)

But the point should be that whatever happens ingame, as long as it isn't an infringement of the rules set down, should be treated as roleplay and the consequences should be incharacter, not a server ban or OORP punishments. If you feel you got destroyed unnecessarily, take it up with the leader of LN, look for some compensation for whatever you lost, start a complain in character, on the forums. As long as the actions ingame don't contradict the rules set out by the admins, try not to respond out of character. Half the point of roleplay is the resulting actions of those you're roleplaying with, so what is the point of reacting with OOC complaints?

Linkus, there's no need to ask that question really. It's LN's perogative if they want to ban mercs. As I said above, as long as it doesn't break rules, it's roleplay. Whether it's LN roleplaying benign and popular law enforcement or a oppressive and aggressive police force is up to them, it's down to the rest of us to react in character and just go with it.
