Firestalker speed (241) + Thrust speed (199) = 440m/s

I wonder if it's possible to cruise up, EK, and launch a Firestalker or they require too much energy.

I just tried cruising and EK-ing 500m behind a cruising ship and Firestalkers tracked nicely.
That was in SP so power drain on cruise wasn't a problem.
Of course, if the target decides to do a 90 degrees turn, the missile won't be able to follow because of the high initial speed.
