Make a rare spawning cap patrol of a large number of AI cruisers in various edge systems. That will give them a bit of a punch back so that its not so easy to farm using restart shuttles/whatever. Make them spawn very rarely. One problem that I can see with this plan though is how NPCs don't spawn as much when the player population is high. That means that people will mostly try to hunt these guys in the off hours limiting player interaction. EDIT: maybe a little less lore friendly, but you could also make them spawn as a nomad task force (ie: 1 battleship, a few cruisers, a handful of gunboats, and then mix of snubs) and have the code(s) located on the Marduk Make it take a group of people to get the weapons. (And yes, I think that with this approach, you'd have to have more than 1 CODENAME drop at a time) |
