As I have the same problem, here are the system specs:
Code:
CPU: AMD A10-5800K with HD 7660D integrated GPU
GPU: 2x AMD R9 290 (not in Crossfire; only one is used)
RAM: 8GB
Drives: 120GB SSD and 500GB HDD; Discovery is installed on the SSD
OS: Windows 7 Professional x64
Driver version: 14.10.1006-140417a-171099C
Catalyst version: 14.4

Just moving the monitor cable to the integrated GPU port completely "solves" the issue. Disabling the integrated GPU in the BIOS did nothing.
However, I have to upgrade the weak CPU in few months so I'm going to be stuck with the same problem.

What about using Catalyst CC to try and set the proper GPU to be used for Freelancer? (ie. overriding whatever it feels like defaulting to)

Have you tried googling for similar problems with the same parts? If there are people who've encountered this before, they might have applicable solutions that'll also work for Freelancer.

RE: Texture bugs galore - Omi - 06-28-2014

Installing Swag Pack broke the textures on the Connecticut planet and Planet Manhattan. None of the previous issues appear to have been fixed, either.

Upgrading my AMD Catalyst drivers to v14.6 to see if that makes any difference.

EDIT: Predictably enough, it did absolutely ass-all. I can get Manhattan to go back to its old, blurry texture by turning Planet Atmospheres off in the options menu, but leaving it on results in a big, pure-white ball.
