RE: Steam Sell So STRONK!! - Trogdor - 06-28-2014 Skyrim, Deus Ex: HR, and the Bioshock games are on sale too, but I assume you have them already since they're not on your list. Skyrim, no. Never have played any of the Elder Scrolls games to be honest. RE: Steam Sell So STRONK!! - Trogdor - 06-28-2014 Oh my god what is wrong with you go buy Skyrim right naow Skyrim has the highest fun / money in the history of any videogame ever. Especially since it's on sale for, what, 5 bucks? Is it the type of game that I should play the prequel to first, or does it stand alone? RE: Steam Sell So STRONK!! - Luke. - 06-28-2014 Don't get Dark Souls 1 on PC. The port is so, SO bad. The port is so, SO bad.Bad as in it looks horrible and is optimized terribly, or do you only mean the controls problem? I got a 360 controller for PC, so the controls aren't a problem for me. Nah, there's no need to play the prequels. The story is pretty much standalone. Yes, there are story references and items that are carried over from the events of the previous games. However, Skyrim does a good job of explaining things without holding your hand. And if you ever are confused or want to know the history/context of something, you can always look it up on uesp.net or some other skyrim wiki. For example, if you do its relevant quest, you may come into possession of the dagger Keening. The game explains it as a legendary dwarven artifact, and a character plans to use it to figure out what happened to the dwarves. But unless you've played Morrowind or look it up, you won't know the specific details of what it was used for, who made it, etc. RE: Steam Sell So STRONK!! - Luke. - 06-28-2014 Controls can be fixed with a controller, yeah. The resolution is awful though so I've been told and it's full of bugs/glitches. RE: Steam Sell So STRONK!! - Narcotic - 06-28-2014 (06-28-2014, 10:14 PM)SMGSterlin Wrote: Skyrim, no. I haven't played Skyrim yet (too time consuming). But Morrowind was truly awesome. And I dare to say, that 75% of all Skyrim players haven't played Morrorwind before. However, I pretend that Morrorwind is the all-time-best of the Elder Scrolls series. Dark Souls is a hardcore game. It can be damn difficult and frustating. And since most today games are annoyingly easy, most people dislike the game for its difficulty. I liked the challenge though. I loved F.E.A.R, since it was the very first game I played, which effectively made use of shadows, adding tons of excitement and shock effects. Even though it's now 10 years old, its graphics should still be playable. I replayed it two years ago. Dishonored I haven't played. But I was told, that it's some kind of a mix of Bioshock Infinite and Thief. Stealth games are a rare thing, so I'll probably have to play it one day. Gone Home I've only heard about, too. Sounds like an indie horror game which is said to be quite short though. I wouldn't buy it. Alan Wake used to be a console game I think. Another horror game. I prefer horror movies. Not sure about that one. |
