is there an easy quick way to make ships?
e.g. most ships are mirrored from the centre, you know what i mean, split a ship in middle, its the same on the left and the right, is there a basic prog that allows you to put bits together to make them?

Not sure, but 3D modelling tool gives maximum flexibility. Learn one and you won't regret.
