RE: How much should the Community be able to say about managing its playerbase - Rebirth - 02-06-2015 (q_q) Spazzy I like you and your posts but this one doesn't seem quite good for me. When people start voting to ban others, then you can be sure (as we know, we're all humans and play with each other on the server, so there are a lot of feelings involved, cuz you already said: small community) that some(or a lot, dunno) people will be banned with being an ass inRP but not breaking the actual rules or breaking the healthy of the group together (disco) but just breaking the health of a single person as individual. This might be a good reason, why there are official factions out there, if you are one of the people out there of the individuals that's health get broken then join an official faction. Alone you are weak but together we are strong, that's what I'd say. E.g., when someone has destroyed the PoB of a mid-sized faction: the first thing I would do would be voting on banning the player that destroyed it - and the faction would go with it, so you would just start making hate against individuals. People like Snak3 would be already away from here, though I believe he hates me, it's still funny to fight him and his ppl sometimes. What I want to say with that is basically, if someone has to be out, let a (more or less, depends on your sight) neutral part of the community decide this (this is these are our beloved Rebirth admins). I don't see a lot of admins online, however I know they play on other chars but I believe at least those ppl will be able to have a neutral view on the rule violators as those have already experience with this stuff here in disco ( and no, disco is something different then being admin on another server e.g. DayZ or w/e ), when you know let the community decide to do their job, then it would be like giving a Zombie a loaded and unlocked weapon. Lol, every of my PoB's is including PoB scenarios. GG. RE: How much should the Community be able to say about managing its playerbase - Alvin - 02-06-2015 No thanks, the amount of butthurt one give to another is way too much for this already RE: How much should the Community be able to say about managing its playerbase - Fluffyball - 02-06-2015 Democracy isn't always the best solution, if people are not aware about certain matters. Edited out one line. I'm forgetting this is a German server and my "historian blood" bothers me. Sowwy. RE: How much should the Community be able to say about managing its playerbase - tothebonezone - 02-06-2015 woops, accidentally clicked yes disregard my vote RE: How much should the Community be able to say about managing its playerbase - nOmnomnOm - 02-06-2015 Worst and most horrible thread I've seen in a while, dude. Talk about cyber bullying if this idea gets out of control, which it will. RE: How much should the Community be able to say about managing its playerbase - Tachyon - 02-06-2015 Yes Spazzy we should totally let the lynchmob take over and judge people. Please attend history class. Also this has nothing to do with democracy. RE: How much should the Community be able to say about managing its playerbase - nOmnomnOm - 02-06-2015 This has the same amount of "good idea" value as communism. Good for a perfect world and realistically bad. RE: How much should the Community be able to say about managing its playerbase - S A D B O Y - 02-06-2015 well if this does become a thing then im just going to leave because the amount of "tal/teamspeak/ventrilo/mumble/raidcall metagaming squad should be banned because they blew up my pixels" threads are just going to explode everywhere but on the other hand i can just get a circle of friends to always vote yes to banning people we dont like thats a good thing right????? RE: How much should the Community be able to say about managing its playerbase - Jack_Henderson - 02-06-2015 Not possible. And I do not know of any community in which such a model has worked successfully. RE: How much should the Community be able to say about managing its playerbase - tothebonezone - 02-06-2015 Edited out for political correctness. |
