Debriefing Mode - Nicole Hunter - 12-29-2014 While a carnival of flashbacks was going before Siren's sedated consciousness seizure after seizure began to shake her body. A medical monitor viewed on the large screen indicated rising blood pressure and pulse. Once the values exceeded critical levels a silent medical alarm started to flash. Young woman began to spasm and struggle. Her convulsions became more and more frequent. - Professor, she won't take it much longer. We need to stabilize her now. Nicole Hunter took her hypnotainment band off and looked at the medic, then the readings and finally the medic once again, completely ignoring suffering woman on the neural interface chair. - Two weeks... - she whispered to herself before once again looking at the medical readings going above critical levels. In the past she used to continue her interrogations past the safety limits which often resulted in permanent health loss or sometimes even death of the captive. However, this time it was supposedly an ally. - Do it. - Yes m'am! Procedure of inducing repressed memories was instantly cancelled once medic injected Siren with a hyper-sedative. One last spasm went through her body as she deeply exhaled, when a Lane Hacker leading the team which task was to crack the implant approached Nicole to report their progress. - We are ready to initiate debriefing mode, Professor. - What is the progress with implant's software decompilation? - We have already unlocked majority of procedures. Most are centered around combat, self-maintenance, physical conditioning and healing. - What about forceful mental conditioning? Any subroutines capable of overriding Siren's free will? - None yet, but I am confident we will eradicate them all if there are any by tomorrow. - Very well. Thank you. Please put her into debriefing mode now. Let us finally learn what she was up to. A young man nod and turned back to his team to give them a sign to start. Professor Hunter as well as four other senior Lane Hackers put once again their hypnotainment bands on and the neural interface chamber suddenly became completely dark. Only a small spot of light was left in the center in which leaning Siren Stone was clasping her hands to her ears. Suddenly a series clunks was heard and Siren noticed five illuminated platforms with five people standing on them, each wearing a uniform of a high ranking LSF officer. - Stand up, agent Stone! - a female officer in the center ordered. Siren slowly took her hands off her head and while putting a lot of effort into it she finally stood up. - Please state primary and secondary objectives of your current assignment. RE: To: LH~ Security Division --Highly encrypted-- - Siren Stone - 02-03-2015 ![]() Siren sat looking up at the word floating in the darkness, completely mesmerized by its presence, Then, as the word fades away, she moves her head back to her knees. As soon as her forehead touched the fabric on her knees, a loud clunk followed by 5 more loud clunks echo through the darkness followed as she suddenly finds herself in a bright spotlight from somewhere above. - Stand up, agent Stone! - a female officer in the center ordered. Siren slowly took her hands off her head, putting a lot of effort into it, she finally stands. - Please state primary and secondary objectives of your current assignment. Standing there in the spotlight, Siren looks up to the five officers, able to make out their uniforms though due to the light above them, their faces remain veiled in shadows. Remaining silent for a few moments, the female officer once again gives her order. -Agent Stone, What are the primary and secondary objectives for your current assignment? Do not make me repeat myself a third time. With a short nod, Siren stands at attention, though something about the look in her eyes and her entire demeanor seems off. -There are no current primary or secondary objectives for my current assignment as I have been given no further assignments short of the original. The woman places her hands together, interlocking her fingers - Please iterate over priorities of your original assignment. - The original assignment required my denying of tests, belligerency, refusing orders until jailed then the subsequent escape from Eureka station. - What was your objective after successful escape? - My objective after a successful escape... I... Freedom... of course. Another person, a man - Interesting A confused woman's voice - So you had no further orders beyond escape, is that correct? - No, that was the order... Freedom, Operation Freedom... - Can you describe your role in the operation? - Yes, my role is to find a new life, far from the LSF's reach and wait until contacted by the LSF For further orders... but they never came. She seems slightly confused now - Have I been recalled? - You will be informed in time about further orders, agent. Now please focus on answering our questions to the best of your ability. Please describe your escape. - My escape? Which one? - Your faked escape from the LSF facility up to the point when you arrived at Alcatraz. - Yes, my escape from Eureka began with killing my cell's guard. He brought me my meal and I used the opportunity to make my move. After securing his pistol, I made my way through the station. I only encountered 4 other men along the way, discarding them as a went along. It wasn't until I moved out on the docking bay catwalk that I encountered numerous men and women ready to engage my person. After 8 minutes I managed to secure a heavy fighter and blow my way out of the dock. I had sustained numerous wounds, both gunshot and knife related and didn't think myself capable of surviving. 12 days later I found myself barely conscious and adrift in an asteroid field where a large Junker frigate came across my badly damaged ship and took me aboard. I was with them for 3 months after that... I... I don't want to remember what they made me do... - Describe what happened aboard the frigate. The woman looks to the side, taking hold of her right arm - The Junkers took me in my weak state, patched me up... and forced me to do things with them... I.. I'd rather forget it. - How did you end up on Alcatraz? Gripping her arm, she continues - I managed to escape the Junkers. After my 3 months with them, I learned things about the underworld that I found would be useful in my avoiding the LSF. Once I killed the Junkers, overloaded their ships core, and made sure that their transmission for aid went unnoticed, I made my escape on a small fighter they kept for emergencies. A week later, I arrived at Alcatraz. After a moment of silence - Are you still loyal to the LSF? A graph measuring emotional reaction appeared in the middle of room. Siren remains silent for a few moments, thinking about her answer. Then, just as the woman in the center of the committee starts to restate her question, Siren looks up at the 5 individuals, rage glowing in her eyes. - NO, I am NOT!! You people are why I am like I am today... you had me run from the place I was born, caused my suffering at the hands of those Junkers. Made me make friends with the scum of Liberty and deal with countless hardships that I am surprised I even survived! Your organization is a heartless, unfeeling, sociopathic disease that should be ripped out of liberty with fire and death!! YOU PEOPLE... you... you people... I HATE YOU!! YOU MADE ME LIKE THIS AND I HATE... EH..mmm... I.. I HATE YOU... Oww... what... god... I WISH YOU WOULD ALL BURN IN HELL AAHH!? The woman now falls to the floor, the implant at the back of her neck sparking, causing her severe pain. Out in the chamber where Sirens physical being rests, the port at the back of her neck begins to spark as well, a thin trickle of what looks to be a sliver fluid slowly flowing onto the wires that are surgically inserted into her body. It would seem the Nanite Inhibiter had run its course. - That went well... Commented a senior male Lane Hacker. Nicole stood in silence and slowly took off her hypnotainment band. Others followed her example quickly. - Ms Stone... It appeared as if Nicole genuinely did not know how to react. - It appears that your allegiance to the Liberty Rogues is genuine and you do not pose a threat to our operations as it was previously thought. She paused for a moment - Therefore there is no reason to eliminate you. The higher functions of your implant will be removed, including bipolarity stimulus. We will also erase your memories from the last three days. You will wake up with a serious hangover and a large dose of various drugs in your bloodstream to plausibly explain your absence and memory loss. Is there anything you wish to ask about before we proceed? Trembling from the anger she felt moments before, the young woman hazily looks around the room, even though her head is secured in place. -I... I don't.. want to forget... Ms. Hunter. Please. Don't erase my memory... I want to remember all of this. I want to remember that I am truly free of their grasp on my mind and body. Her eyes begin to fill with tears. -I.. I'll do anything... anything you wish. Just, please, don't take this from me? Nicole's cold eyes did not give Siren much hope. She slowly turned to a Lane Hacker standing beside her - Mr. Yoshida She says before leaving the room. RE: The mind is a wonderful toy. A tale of a woman with no past and every future. - Yoshida - 03-03-2015 ![]() The senior Hacker showed no emotion when the Professor looked at him. He knew it was his task to deal with this minor outburst. He remained at his armchair patiently waiting for everyone to clear out. "Who... are you?" The frightened woman asks, barely able to see the man sitting off to the side. "Are... you going to... to take them? Take my memories?" The Hacker stood up and moved to a small table near a window. "My name is Goro Yoshida. Since I mainly operate out of Leiden, perhaps you have heard of me." He didn't reply to her second question and instead poured some Liberty Ale into the glass. "Yo.. yoshi..da... y.. yeah... I.. Iv'e heard.. of you... just.. not much." She tugs at the restraints a bit though finds herself securely bound. Yoshida ignored Siren's efforts and instead enjoyed his ale while looking out of the window. He was a man who enjoyed serenity and simple things, afterall. After a while, Siren falls silent, her pain seemed to slowly be disapating though the nanites still fought to remove the wires that had been forcibly incerted in her neck. When he finished his drink, he returned his attention back to the room. He approached Siren, studying her with his eyes. One of his hands was on his pocket and the other one still holding the glass. "In June 819 A.S., a Hogosha syndicate needed a man with the skills that only the best of the Lane Hackers possess. I was sent there. Do you know what had happened to my memories? They were all removed. This is not personal, Siren." "Did.... you willingly allow this?" she asks with pain in her voice. "It was the logical thing to do. I possess intel that many important people want to have. I protected myself as well as the organization that I work for. Siren, I did not allow my emotions to control my decisions. "My emotions didn't... control my decision... I.. I made this decision on my own!" "I am referring to your irrational wish to keep your memories. It won't be long before the Agency comes to retrieve their precious investment. And you currently possess important information." "I.. I've managed to evade them for four years now... if.. Ghm.. if they come for me, I'll kill them." She tries to extend the blade in her wrist to make her point though for whatever reason, it refuses to do so. At the same time, a display indicates to Yoshida that she'd just tried to activate her left hidden wrist blade. "Of course you will. But they are the ones that have made you like this. If they corner you, they will know how to counter your.. abilities. Siren, we are here to help you, but we need your cooperation for this." "You realise... I'll be branded a traitor to my people... if they ever find out about this... don't you? The.. the PLR will.. Moka.. he'll have me killed if.. if he ever finds out." Yoshida approached Siren and stood right outside the shield. "Noone will find out. Mr Bower is good at his work." He took a moment to ponder and continued. "If you wish to keep some of your memories, your involvement with PLR will have to end." "Wha... end? you mean... betray the PLR?" She seemed to be angered by this notion, though for some reason, her eyes give way to something more. "The Agency will come to retrieve you, Siren. And the Rogues are not the type of people that can adequately protect you. They are unreliable and possess moderate to low intelligence." "Then who would you suggest? The hackers?" She inquires through gritted teeth. Yoshida pointed with his hand still holding the glass towards her. "You are a human, Siren. I believe that you wish to make those who turned you like this to pay. I believe that you do not wish other innocent women to become like you. Am I wrong?" Closing her eyes, she hesitates before continueing. "I exist because the LSF built me... If I could do something about this, I would, and no, I would wreck a thousand starbases before I allow something like this to happen to another innocent person." She tugs at the restraints hard this time, though the resulting electrical surge nearly incapacitates her. Yoshida ignored her desperate efforts. "We showed you here that you were not constructed by the Agency. That you were a perfectly normal woman who was misled and eventually signed up in LSF's program. You were never an android, Siren." Moaning weakly in pain, Siren is unable to speak for the time being. "You were an orphan. Liberty mistreated you from the very first years of your life. Moved you from an orphanage to another, never making friends or lasting relationships." He emptied his hands and moved to a nearby computer. A minute later he finished and a holo-screen appeared in front of Siren. "This is the only picture that we could find, hacked from the long-deleted data of an orphanage in Houston. This girl... was you." Siren's eyes seem to stare unbelievably at the picture, completely lost for words. Yoshida was impatient. "Do you realize what you are now?" "How... is this possible? I... All I've ever known is... that I'm a machine. I... Oh god... oh god oh god oh god.... I.. I could have died... I.. so.. many times.... Oh god?!" She starts panicing now, almost as if in a sort of mental frenzy. RE: The mind is a wonderful toy. A tale of a woman with no past and every future. - Siren Stone - 03-07-2015 Yoshida sighed and pressed a button electro shocking her. Her screams were loud but he continued until she finally fainted. Then he relayed a few other commands and a mechanical arm from the chair went out. The arm was holding a syringe which delivered a liquid into her neck that would send her into a sedative state. Finally the arm placed a few tiny, spherical sponges on her head. Yoshida was now seated with his back to Siren. Then he spoke, while the computers built-in microphone would convert his words into brainwave signals. "Siren can you hear me?" -H... hello? Who... are you?- She sounded confused as her voice came from the terminal Yoshida is seated at instead of her lips "I am Yoshida. Do you remember our discussion?" -I... yeah.. Yeah, I do... where... am I?- "What was the last thing I told you, Siren?" For a moment, she doesn't respond, then just before Yoshida speaks again, she replies. -How come I didn't figure it out on my own?- "Figure what on your own?" -That.... I'm human.- Her voice is layered with defiant disbelief. "Yes indeed. It was difficult for you to come in realization of this thing so I had to put you in an artificial coma." -Is that why it's so dark?- "We are on your subconscious now. You create the world around you. I am simply a voice." -What do you mean create the world.. what.. how?- She sounded as if the wind had been knocked out of her. -I... I'm on.. Manhattan... I... how?- "As I said. We are in your mind. This is not the real world." -It's not.. how is this not real... I.. OH GOD!?"- Siren suddenly hides behind a large crate, two men seem to be talking across the tarmac on what looks to be a landing platform. -I'll kill that bastard.- "Siren. Concentrate on my voice. This is not real." -I don't care.. I'll kill him... that's the guy that forced me to kill that defenseless nurse... she was my only friend on Eureka!- The hysterical woman suddenly bursts from around the crate, running straight at the man. Yoshida clicked a few buttons and Siren was induced with a chemical compound which creates euphoria. "Where are you now?" -What... how did... I... I... I'm in... Gran Canaria... I... I'm on his ship... on... Nathans.... ship.- She looks down, revealing herself to be wearing a beautiful wedding gown. -This... is my wedding day. - She says quietly as she starts to cry. "Good." The machine now de-stimulates Siren's brain. She cannot draw pictures out of her memories anymore. "Siren do you understand that you are a human? A female?" As the memory fades, tears form in her eyes. -Yes... I... I've known I.... am female for a long time now... I... I just thought... they made me this way... god.... why would they do this to me? I... I never did anything. They... I want them to pay!- She exclaims, tears forming in her eyes. "I know some people who can help you exact revenge on the Agency. To make sure this does not happen to someone else. They're reliable, unlike the Rogues." Crying now, she lowers her head. -Who... would help me...- "The enemies of the Agency of course. Do you want to do this? To fight for that purpose instead of crying?" -Yes... I.... Yes.- She wipes away her tears now. "Good. That way we can keep your memories. Just not those involving Airdrie. Do you feel better now? Are you ready to wake up? Your brain functions seem to be back to normal." After a few moments, she gives a small nod. -Yes, I'm ready to wake up... just... give me false memory of some kind please? Some way for me to remember this... I.. I don't care what is, just... something to replace the ones you will take.- She looks at her hands for a moment before closing them. -I've always felt like I have this hole inside me, and... now I know what it means.- Slowly Siren comes to her senses. To her side there is a classified file containing information about the Rheinland Intelligence. Yoshida is not present in the room. Looking to the left with what little amount of movement her head was now allowed, she finds that her hands are free if not for a shackle like metallic bracelet obviously there to keep her from pulling her weapons out. "Tch.. some allies." She picks up the file, and starts looking through it, her mind racing at the information she finds inside. "How... that.... that's the presidents back... at.. at one of her speeches... this is no more than 3 meters away!? " She mumbles to herself. Inside, there is also a handwritten note. [Do you want to work for them? They know how to make LSF bleed.] "Do you even have to ask..." She relaxes now, letting her mind wander, thoughts going through her head that she'd never been able to even imagine. RE: The mind is a wonderful toy. A tale of a woman with no past and every future. - Yoshida - 04-01-2015 Siren wakes up after a seemingly deep sleep. The small room is dark around her but she can make out a large window on the other side. "Hmm.. mm..my...head." She tries to move, though thinks better of it. "Mmm..hello?" She calls out to the darkness. There is no response but she can make out a tiny little red light starting flashing above the room's only exit. She doesn't know if it flashed before and she just noticed it. Hesitating for a moment, the groggy woman slowly stands, moving towards the light, trying to feel her way around. "W..Where am.. I?" Approaching the door, it automatically opened revealing a much bigger room. Yoshida was inside working on what seemed like to be a high-end computer. "Uh... who.." A slight breeze flows past her from the door opening causing the silky loose fabric to move against her skin. "Wha?" She looks down finding herself wearing a white nightgown, a rather expensive looking one at that. "What the hell am I wearing?!" Yoshida raises his head and looks at Siren. He was wearing a tie but now it is left on his desk. "Please have a seat my dear, you are probably feeling dizzy after sleeping for a full week." There are many places to sit in what seemed like a living room. There were seats close to Yoshida and some near the doorway where Siren stood. "I... I haven't... I... a... full. weaah." Siren falls forwards, barely catching herself once she hits the ground. "Ughmmph!?" Yoshida sighs and reaches her with a glass of water. Managing to sit herself up, she doesn't hesitate to take the glass, draining it in seconds. "Hmm... thank... you." She takes a moment to catch her breath, suddenly feeling immensely tired, almost as if she had been running a marathon for a month without stopping. "Where... am I?" Is... this a base... or.. no... a Ship?" "We are in Leiden Base. I guess you have been here before." He then returns to his seat pressing a few buttons which reveal the exterior view. Dark-matter clouds and lightning. Looking out into the vast nothingness, the woman sits in silence for a few minutes, realizing she wouldn't be seeing Galileo's Dark Matter Clouds anymore. "You know... I never really saw these clouds as beautiful... I mean, they aren't... but... they are home.... to me anyway." Yoshida was looking outside as well. "That was a home when you still didn't know who you really were. I am sure your real home is somewhere else." "I was an orphan, wasn't I? Do orphans ever truly have a home?" She says with slight anger in her voice. Yoshida nodded. "You know Siren, BDM replied to my message while you were sleeping." "Who?" She asks, seemingly in a daze. "The BDM Direktor of course. I described your situation to him. I have yet to receive a reply however." Seeing that Siren did not reply he continued. "You were placed in hibernation for one more reason Siren." "Huh?" Siren asks, still in her daze. "Your mind is relaxed and clear. After you boarded the ship to Airdrie and you conducted the brain scans, we knew exactly where and how the memory was stored in your brain. Anything additional in there is recently-acquired memory which we are going to remove. For that purpose the current relaxed state of your brain is perfect as it minimizes any risks to unintentionally damage your brain. But you wanted to keep the memories about your past. So you're going to speak on camera and after the surgery is done, you will watch the video of yourself." He looked at her one last time before returning to the computer screen. "And don't worry. Your subconscious has made peace with this information already, so you will have no emotional crisis again after watching the tape." Listening to Yoshida's explanation, Siren can't help but wonder why none of this is upsetting her this time. Rolling the glass of water between her open palms, she looks out into the cloud once again. "You know... I should be getting upset about this.... I mean... I want to, and I know I am.. but, I'm not." With a glance in the man's direction, she gives a weak smile. "Why is this not upsetting me?" He still looks at the computer screen. "Because your brain had a full week to digest this information and also expel all the assembled stress." With a weak nod, she turns, setting the glass on a small table before slowly moving over to the man who seems hard at work on a complicated bit of code. Not realizing she's doing so, she places her hand on the back of his while leaning over his shoulder. "What is this you're working on?" she asks with an interested tone. "I have sent multiple nodes in computers in Liberty. I am checking if I have infiltrated them yet. What about you, are you ready for the recording?" Hesitating for a moment, The young woman shakes her head. "No... not yet... I... Can I continue remembering for a while longer?" Sirens voice didn't convey any stress or real emotion, just her wish to know for as long as possible. "Unfortunately if we do this later your brain won't be in its current state. And I suppose you don't want to endanger yourself needlessly by conducting a potentially dangerous brain surgery." With a nod, Siren gives a weak smile. "Can I wear what I am already? It.. its oddly comfortable." "It's good to hear that. I happen to lack female clothing in my wardrobe." With a chuckle herself, Siren steps back, spinning in place as the garment seems to flow around her. "It's nice. I've never worn something as fine as this... Normally I'm wearing clothes that don't fit properly that I've stolen from traders and such." "So the Liberty Rogue couldn't procure some luxury clothing? My dear, I think your time with the Rogues didn't help you much." Standing there now with her back to him, Siren lowers her head. "No... I did have a few nice things to wear.... just... He preferred that I keep them on his ship so that they wouldn't be stolen." Sirens attitude suddenly seems sad and regretful, she'd already mentioned a man several times, though given no real information on him. "Who is that man, Siren?" "... His Name is Nathan..." She drops her right hand by her side, holding her arm with her left hand. She makes a fist with her right hand as tears start to form in her eyes. "He... he's my husband... he.. we... He's the only one who saw me for something more than...than... what I thought I was... and.... I'm leaving him behind?!" she drops to her knees now, her emotions breaking free once again. "I understand that the Büro will help you with your needs, Siren. Please explain to yourself what you discovered about yourself." Taking a few minutes to gather herself once again, she finds that she quickly returns to her serene state of mind. "O....okay." Siren moves onto the couch looking around for the camera. "Where do I Look?" "There is a mirror to your left side. Look towards there." "Alright." She turns towards the mirror, a bit unsure as to what she should say. "Umm... where do I begin?" "I guess from Nicole Hunter's medical and history background about you." "Oh... uh, right." Looking down at her hands, Siren thinks of all that she'd been told. "Umm.. Hi... Siren... this is.. well, this is yourself. Heh... This seems kind of weird, talking to myself. Umm.. Since you're watching this, it means you've woken up and are most likely confused and possibly scared." She looks to Yoshida for a moment, then back at the Mirror. "You don't need to be. There.. there is a good man who is going to help you. His.. His name is Yoshida. He.. he's helping you... I mean us.... umm.. he has helped us come to realize something truly important and life changing. The Lane Hackers helped me... I mean you... umm... " She looks to Yoshida once again. "This is weird." "Go on. Tell yourself what she needs to know." She looks from Yoshida, to the mirror, then back at Yoshida with a nod before continuing. "Siren... I'm not.. I mean you... you are not an android... you weren't built by the LSF, and you aren't under their control any longer. You went to the Lane Hackers thinking they could hack into your programming, and as a result, they discovered who you really are... or were I should say. She doesn't exist anymore because we are here, you and I... But her name was Rebecca... umm..." She looks to Yoshida now slightly confused, having forgotten a bit of what she was told. "What was my last name again?" It takes a moment for the Hacker to look up. "Your last name is Larson. Would you like Siren to find the picture of yourself when you were eleven in your belongings when you watch that video?" With a weak smile, Siren nods a yes to the man before turning back to the mirror. "Our name in another life was Rachel Larson... we were an orphan. We didn't have much in the way of family, even among the other orphans and.... well... it's most likely due to this fact that the LSF chose us when we were fresh Navy recruits. And yes, she... I mean Rachel... she willingly accepted the program that led to us... so.. I guess in a way, we wanted this to happen to ourselves even though we had no choice in what was done." She looks at her lap, moving her fingers around each other in a nervous sort of way. "About our future... it won't be with the Rogues... you... you won't be returning to them, and you most likely won't ever see them again. The BDM... Rheinland's Security Force... you will be going to them and helping them in any way you can as a means of revenge. The LSF needs to pay for what they made us into.. what they tried to have us do... and the lives they took simply because of our existence." She looks out the window in the direction she assumes is Padua. "You won't be seeing home again, not any time soon at least, and you will be leaving your friends and family behind. Just... just remember, that what you are doing is for the best, and that you made this decision yourself... this is for the best Siren... and.. in case you think this is all come trick to get you to do something... then this is something no one would ever know... Gran Canaria was the most beautiful place to have been married and you would never want to forget that." With this, she looks away from the mirror, nodding to Yoshida to inform him that she was finished. The Hacker looks at the mirror for a few more seconds before nodding to Siren. He then opens a drawer of his desk and takes out a box with pills. He drops one to a glass of water and proceeds to Siren. "This may be the last time we will meet in person. You know you are doing the right thing; I joined Hackers in order to have my revenge from Ageira." With his free hand he takes a stick from the table and hands it over to Siren. "You will find this stick in your pocket when you wake up again. If anything goes wrong while you're in Rheinland do not hesitate to plug this into your computer and send me a message." With a hesitant nod, Siren takes the data stick as well as the drink. Holding the stick in one hand and the drink in the other, she stares at the drink for a few moments before looking up to Yoshida. "I won't remember this... so can I ask you... what is your real name?" The question seems overly personal, though the look in her eyes reflects a woman who simply wishes to know the name of someone who has saved her from something dark. "My name?" the Hacker chuckles. "I don't remember the last time I mentioned it loudly. What a peculiar question." He then sees the pressure in Siren's eyes and accepts defeat. He presses a button on his computer and says. "My name is Steven Allen." Tears form in her eyes now as her hand grows unsteady, the drink starting to shake in her hand. "It's nice to have met you Steven.... My... My name... is Rebecca." A joy filled smile crosses her lips before she quickly downs the drink, setting it on her knee as she begins to cry. Then, as quickly as she drank the medication, the glass slips from her grasp as she slumps to the side, completely unconscious in only a matter of seconds. |
