Split from Admin Notice. - Akumabito - 10-01-2008 ' Wrote:So what about "Capship registration"? It is a behavior not given by the NPCs but within server rules and faction policy. That's different because korrd supports the right of factions to declare indies KOS and call them traitors or spys, because... well, just because! We're having a happy, Power Ranger-esque, moment here. Perhaps one would care to suggest someone that would be both better at the job and willing to do it? I know I can't think of any. Split from Admin Notice. - Koolmo - 10-01-2008 Me and the admin team have had the occasinal conflict before, but when it comes down to it, they do a good bloody job, and spend far too much time (IMO) admin-ing, when they should be playing the game they love, rather than dealing with little prats. Aku, if you've got any better ideas, go for it. If not, cease and desist, you sould sillier with every post. Such as the AW and SCRA? Our diplomacy swings with the roleplay that goes on between us, can factions then dictate? Or should this be on an individual basis only? (i.e. chopper goes and shoots up some SCRA and not even a treaty between us can stop him) Split from Admin Notice. - Sand_Spider - 10-01-2008 I must say one thing, and nothing more.. People, at least leave room for the Order to aid Liberty in Nomad invasions. Surely that would make sense, no? Order comes to Liberty to help defeat invading nomads If nomads are successfully thwarted, the Navy thanks the Order for the assistance, and allows them to immediately leave without further breakout in combat. Order leaves Liberty from once they came, that simple.. Split from Admin Notice. - Baltar - 10-01-2008 ' Wrote:One question. I think the point is you can role play how you like ... but you CANNOT tell someone how to role play his ID. If I'm a Liberty Rogue I can attack Liberty or not attack Liberty. You as a member of SCRA cannot tell me that I HAVE to attack Liberty or that Liberty HAS to attack me. Split from Admin Notice. - Orin - 10-01-2008 So you guys are telling us to ignore the roleplayed diplomatic agreements and act like the NPCs? Read the whole account in depth before just putting up a generic aloof statement lke this, admins. We RPed the damn thing into the ground, while Ryoken simply didn't. This notice is a joke. EDIT: I would have no problem with Ryoken RPing a psychotic Order battleship who hates Liberty. He didn't RP that, he ignored RP in game and on the forums and just turned it into an OOC "you're telling me what to do"-fest. Even after the fact he just scraps his BS and doesn't RP it out. We never dictated any of his RP. We dictated him TO RP. It's against the rules to uphold RP now? Pff. Split from Admin Notice. - Baltar - 10-01-2008 @ Orin Hasting: I think a lot of people are just getting tired of certain factions dictating nit-noid details of how they must behave, what ships they can fly, etc. Its fine to have "role play" laws ... but when your character's faction is NOT hostile to the other guy's faction ... you can't just attack them because they didn't follow your orders or because the look funny or act funny or fly different. Certain members of certain factions like to order characters around. When said character does not follow their orders ... they get the guns. If the guy is not hostile, not carrying contraband, etc ... you cannot fire on them. But some folks in the uber-class ships think "do as I say or else". One faction's laws do not trump everybody elses role play. EDIT: They do not trump especially when the hard code relationships between factions are non-hostile.
