Play an order/outcast/corsair/zoner char and fly through the omicrons.
Learn about the nomads while playing.

When you think you know enough about them, try a new char with a nomad LF (sold at primus).

I see, so how can i be accepted?

You have to show the Keepers (players in the game who are nomads) that you deserve the Keeper ID. It's pretty difficult, mainly because you have to have responsible people with good RP skills.

Do what Hyung Soon said.

Ignore Tenasty. =]

and once you have your ship, use kraken guns, and a pirate ID from Planet Malta in Omicron Alpha.

The reason there is such rigorous checking done on people wishing to become a nomad is because the Keeper ID is a terrorist ID that could be used for some rather shady purposes. Being able to blow up -anyone- is a fair ammount of roelplaying responsibility.

Nomad roleplay doesn't seem easy, given that you have to completely forget the concept of talking through words, but be able to form images and coherent pictures with very scant communication.

Buy a Nomad LF.

Learn how to act, and talk like them.

If you not like me, make a LOOOOOOOOONG story.

Then all you do is wait. . . . .

oh yeah, No OOC.

This is very good advice. I suggest making another character with which to get to know the rules, political situation, and RP conventions of the Disco server. Once you know your way around, then I would suggest trying to become a Keeper. Or, of course, you could try out das Wilde instead of the Keepers, if you would prefer. They have similar restrictions on their selection of members, and their RP does have similarities to that of the Nomads, being Nomad infested.

Well if you look at the nomad story I linked in the other nomad thread, you'll see all the in-game RP chat I did (actually that was only around half of it, a lot of stuff I didnt post because it wasnt relevant to character development).

So far, in my entire time here playing as an Order character, I've never seen more than two lines of in-game chat from any of the keepers. They are pvp whores, plain and simple, RP has nothing to do with them.

The most RP I ever saw from a keeper was while grouped and talking to keepers.kharybdis, with nomad.loki as my character at the time - the conversation is shown in that post. Outside of that, keepers display little to no RP in-game, and only have a couple of posts here on the forums about themselves. They arent setting a very good example for a hardcore-RP faction.

I say after you get used to disco, get the Nomad ship, and RP it. If you do not get accepted by the Keeper's, no worries. Just RP your char and have fun. I been RP'n my Nomad for month's, and i have fun with it. Not alot of PvP with it, but i am not in it for that.If you are? well i do not think you will be accepted. I myself play it for fun, and have never applied to the Keeper's. I figure if they want me they will ask. I will fight along side them, such as the big fight today, but if not just have fun. It is a game, and fun is all that matter's. If not? why play?

Nothing persoal mate, but you should have been in NY earlier today. I found the Keeper's to be very much in RP, and so did many Lib's. Fun was had by all,and that is the point of the game. The PvP we had was only because liberty had the JG blocked.
