I pointed it out a couple of times, it's also kind of an obvious thing to do.And not like better tech and more freedom of GB usage in the faction wouldn't have improved the faction dramatically either.

Not trying to cause stress, just some pointers as to why GMG is as active as it is right now.

Dirmaster (Leader of IC) is lately very busy with RL. He still couldnt sort it out and is rarely seen on Skype. We havr a couple of talks here and there but he just isnt able to show activity, for now.

They're not a shipping company, of which Liberty already has one whom they don't rival anyways. They don't really make anything. They're basically a glorified insurance company that owns stations in every house. That's about it. I don't see the draw.

The name is self explanatory. If there's money to be made, Interspace will invest.

One of the most active players in the game applied to IC| only to have his recruitment not answered. Then another guy applied and a few days later the IC| leader replied that all applications are automatically rejected and recruitment is closed.

Does that qualify for hardship program? Definitely no.

I guess in IC|, we are all dying a very slow death. Just waiting for it to end, to wrap up. Pretty much everyone in IC| is occupied with RL, so yeah, gg.

I did propose to an admin that faction activity standards should be lowered over the next month or so as lots of people will have exams and finals.

As the faction leader of IC| I'll give you my two cents.
I have basically no time to game anymore, RL has got me busy most days of the week and I get fairly little downtime from work.
I'm moving to retire after IC| disbands for good. I rejected further applicants because I do not wish to lead my dying faction anymore, as I've spent 12 years playing Freelancer and I feel like I could use a break; and that I lack a sufficient HC in order to pass on command, so I felt it was best to disband at this point.
Our RP story to get back into Rheinland basically stalled for a couple different reasons but theres not much that can change that now.
Although I do enjoy the occasional RP encounter or doing trading, I've lost much of my passion towards Disco, motivation to try to convince others to be active themselves, etc.
Go ahead and say what you want, I really dont care Tongue

factions. No one respond to last applications it seems.
I am curious how all this work. Who give a power to a leader to be a leader?
What can stop a leader if he decide to kill a faction by not accepting anyone?

Greetings, I am leader of Knight Industries we are similar to Interspace Commerce but in the long run things will change and they will not be Interspace Commerce with a bit of luck, but they are a trade faction and there are lots of things you can do with them. Here are the links and stuff if you are interested.

Well, thanks for the links.
Anyway, I am more interested in official factions with inactivity problems.
Especially if mining and trading is involved. I played IC and GMG as indie a lot.
Sad thing to see them gone for just few hours of inactivity.

Off topic...but sort of not... With the chnages to Police IDs, it would seem that IC has a place as the group that can keep the lanes open between houses. Less transport, and more opportunity for escort and pew pew. Letting something die beouse no one is interested is one thing, but wanting to be the last at the helm when others express an interest, is something very different.
