Those are fun too.

Back in the day in [RM] we easily mounted 30+ player raids on Texas, we used to have 5-6 capitals, a wing of bombers and the rest on fighters. And Anne or Alec leading the whole thing. That's the best setup in my opinion.

In my opinion you need players.
Not necessarily a good setup. Players. Because this server has an amount that's not so great for anything to be called even half a fleet.

that's definitely why

cap combat is the most boring thing in discovery, assuming you take it 'in context' - by which i mean the two hours each fleet spends trying to ensure it outnumbers the other before the ~5-10 minutes of actual 'fighting'

fighter combat is way more interesting - too bad it gets shut down hard by capital ships [:

I think I'm going to take a screen of that and mount it on my wall. It's the truest thing in Discovery at the moment.

edit: fixed it calm your pants

I think Cap combat is more interesting. The strategy, the composition and the feel of successful organization is much more satisfying.
Snubs can be fun, though it's somewhat disappointing seeing aces mow down person after person where there's little they can do to make a comeback (mad cuz bad!!!!) though, whereas in cap pvp victory is up for grabs by either side depending on the fleet composition and use of your environment.

Though to be honest, it's great when the two come together and you get to partake in a fleet as one whole unit working together.

bringing a support Carrier for a mobile repair platform for snubs might also prove fun/challenging to the ordeal, especially once the bots run dry.

Probably not. You'd end up with drama about whether or not it was against the rules, and the side without the carrier raging because capital ships were interfering with the fight. In any case, what're the chances of having 5 ships docked at once? Could do in-fight resupplies with a battleship that had a singular docking module just as well.

Or even a Shire / battletransport, come to that. Big Grin

1 or 2 good BS players, a BC an crusier 2 GBs and a few fighters
