RE: Mundane lessons(Invite Only) - rivaan - 01-05-2016 “Well, we never know really.” Myako chuckled as she replied to Flora’s comment about the park.” Sometimes there are a bunch of unmannered brats pretending to be thugs who try to act tough.” She smiled.” Granted, most of those know me by now… and tend to keep their distance.” “Of course, let’s head out.” She smiled and shook slightly her head at something that she found amusing.” Well learning what to say directly and when to keep silence seems to going to have to be the first thing you need.” She smiled as she opened the door and returning the favor Flora showed her earlier, kept the door for her. “But frankly, if you find this tea not up to par, I’m very curious what you consider good.” She said with a smile as she led the way towards the park. It was just around the corner so it was in view moments later. As the sun slowly descending down, not too long from now it was going to start to get dark and the lights around the park were already lit up. That one park was Myako’s most favorite thing around the casino. It was in walking distance and at night it was truly beautiful with all it’s lights. “Tell me, Flora, how have you been lately?” Myako asked with a smile.” Before you called me, we haven’t had met in a while and last I remember you were having some difficulties. Have things gotten better since?” RE: Mundane lessons(Invite Only) - TheSauron - 01-05-2016 - I'm a fussy drinker. - Flora replied as they headed to the park. - And I obviously consirder my own... "Products" to be best. She looked over the park. It was an odd view for her, even though it wasn't too unlike the biodomes on many freeports and other "underground" instalations she found herself on. She sipped her tea when Myako was asking about her whereabouts. - I have never been so well before. - she smiled a little. - It's... It's a coimpletly different kind of life for me. And I like it more. Sure, I still have to basically live in a cockpit and don't really have time to enjoy many breaks, but... It feels better, however it may sound. I'm still slightly afraid of potential "political" consequences of my choice of posting, but so far, future paints itself in bright colours. RE: Mundane lessons(Invite Only) - rivaan - 01-06-2016 “In that case, you should totally show me your tea brewing skills at some point!” Myako stated with a smile. She liked tea as well, but started to drink a lot more coffee since she started to work nightshifts even back during her latter years of high school and then university. She frowned remembering her past… and the smirked remembering her father’s face when she destroyed his life just as he did hers. “Well that’s good to hear. Frankly after our last meeting, I tried to pull what little connections I had left to find out how you were, but seems like most of my contacts were already out of business so I was concerned if you were fine.” Myako stated with a calm smile. “Well in that case you should probably get a home planetside somewhere. Even if it’s not big as long as you can have somewhere to crash after a long time in space, it will do the job no?” She smiled as they walked around the park now. It was surely well lit up and all. There were other people walking around as well. “Still back on topic of our meeting today, you may have to present yourself with your real name every now and then when you have to talk with people who are quite in power at let’s say your status at work. If that happens still be polite, present yourself with your name and add that Flora is the name most people refer you with. That way they will know to use that name, you wouldn’t have been disrespectful and so on.” RE: Mundane lessons(Invite Only) - TheSauron - 01-06-2016 - I don't know... I don't feel like my job would make any house-grade expense worth it. I simply wouldn't use it. - Flora hardly kept herself turned to Myako, itching to focus on looking around the park. - I did not encounter any issues with high-placed individuals in Samura so far. They don't seem to mind me going by the callsign. Would they... Hm, be actually irritated by the fact and are simply patient? I mean, it doesn't look like it, but still... RE: Mundane lessons(Invite Only) - rivaan - 01-06-2016 “Well it’s your choice in the end of the day.” Myako stated with a nod, as they walked around. She was used to keep utmost attention to everything happening around for she was usually expecting problems by default. Her work in the casino where she doubled as a hidden guard among her waitress work made her even more alert.” Well there is always the possibility to rent out the place when you aren’t using it. I know many use that to earn additional money.” “Samura… well I suppose people from it are used to that actually.” Myako stated, making a pondering expression.” I wouldn’t really be much concerned about people who are used to space, because frankly space has it’s own manners in the end. I would mainly be concerned in case you have to deal with someone who spends all his time on a planet and never really leaves. I know more than a few grumpy old buggers who are way to concerned with manners when dealing with them.” She laughed softly. After she said that, she noticed a certain group of men… no not men, boys should be the proper term really. They were surely all under 18. All of them looked like thugs wanabes. Making sure to ignore them for now, she just continued to walk with Flora, hoping this wouldn’t turn into park cleaning type of evening. RE: Mundane lessons(Invite Only) - TheSauron - 01-06-2016 Flora either didn't notice or didn't care about the group. - Well... I suppose such people are everywhere. I just hope my life will stay devoid of them. Our administration back in Edinburgh was well up-to-date with what is going on, so I am not really experienced in dealing with them. - she sipped her tea, enjoying the calmness of the park. Her mind slowly went back to her memories from Cambridge, making her smile a little. RE: Mundane lessons(Invite Only) - rivaan - 01-08-2016 “Sadly, I will have to say that here in Kusari things aren’t quite up to date as they should be most of the time.” Myako smirked as they walked and passed by the gang of young thugs who right now seemed too occupied to smoke something than to pay attention to what’s happening around them. “Still, I hope your path will stay clear of annoying old goats that are too stuck up, to accept the modern ways of the world.” The waitress added with a smile.” That said I was surprised when I heard you started working for Samura, how did that came around to be?” RE: Mundane lessons(Invite Only) - TheSauron - 01-08-2016 - They were my best shot at the time. Gallics wouldn't have any use for my skills, not to even mention I wouldn't get hired there, Bretonia was more likely to kill me on sight, Liberty most likely shares their criminal databases with their ally and Rheinland is a warzone. I followed this reasoning and ended up in Kusari, therefore had my choice narrowed to two options: Kishiro or Samura. I at first wanted to sign to Kishiro, as they were more into high-tech business, but then I realised I would be completly cut off from all my former contacts in Hogosha, Alliance and Empire... - she took a deep breath. - And that brought me to a Samuran recruitment office. I am still to get used to all the hate coming from the Shogunate and Chrysanthemums. You know, when they see you for the first time and throw "dogs" and "scums" at you nevertheless. - she sipped her tea in a sudden silence. - And now I'm here. It's quite a good result, to be honest. RE: Mundane lessons(Invite Only) - rivaan - 01-10-2016 "In that case, I'm glad you found a way to keep things from becoming... uncomfortable." Myako said with slightly happy voice." Besides, I'm also on the opinion that Bretonia are just a bunch of moronic basters mostly. I once was in the area and went to buy a ship I wanted. Got stopped by a police officer or something like that, who stopped me with the warning I will be shot down." She explained with a sigh." Just because the shuttle I was flying supposedly had 'illegal' weapons." "Those brats eh? The big toothless lizards and the silly highschool girls..." Myako let a laugh at the mention of the shogunate and the chrysanthemums." Well blow them up whenever you get the chance! It should even things out for all the bad words they spout with their idiocity." "That it is, Flora." She added in the end and threw a look behind her shoulder, noticing a guy following them... badly at that. Seems like her work followed her outside the casino, someone wasn't happy when she threw him out earlier today. He seemed even more drunk than earlier..." I wonder how long that guy must have been waiting for me to leave the casino to follow me..." RE: Mundane lessons(Invite Only) - TheSauron - 01-11-2016 Flora looked back as well. - He looks like he's about to get knocked out by the ground without us having to do anything. - she shrugged and continued to enjoy the mood of the park. She sipped her tea again. - Where does all the hatred come from, anyway? I mean, Mollys, for example, don't hate every single simple miner working for BMM. Nor do Bundshuh hunt every single administrative worker in Rheinland. Dragons and GC, on the other hand... They seem keen on murdering anyone who ever entered a Samuran building. |
