Just block traffic from https://apps.skype.com and you will see no ads.

A lot of us use Discord already, but moving the entire community to skype is, let's admit it, most likely infeasible.

Hm, considering that people mostly contact me on their own, I will just get unavailable over Skype and so everyone who will need the model from me would have to switch as well to reach me. ^^

I just find it bothersome to have even more applications running that I have to check. I am good at multitasking but it has limits and I only have so many monitors.
The first time I checked discord I also found it not very intuitive whereas in skype I always found what I wanted.
Maybe that changed. I will switch once most of the people I talk to often do it.

I have never liked Skype for this among many reasons, including the fact that its a CPU hog..... Does Discovery not have a Teamspeak3 server???..... You can purchase a 100 user service for $104 a year. Just need $10 from 11 players in a year to pay for the entire yearly TS3 service.
