Star Citizen is very bad but simpits are very good. I'm looking forward to the concluding shots.

Oh. As a point of unsolicited advice; a friend has a very nice simpit that he put together and one of the features from which he has drawn a tremendous amount of mileage is a accessible storage space in which he can store/charge his phone in addition to various other sundries such as the odd napkin/odds and ends that he's loath to hobble across the room to retrieve.

As simpits can be something of a bother to leap from.

The armrests slide, yes. The whole point is to have the joysticks at the front of them, and then mouse/gamepad behind the joysticks. To transition from one to the other the armrests slide forward or backward as needed.

Entry isnt much of a problem, it's fairly low to the ground. The back of it is currently against a wall but will be in the center of the room once I finish (the part with the tower/monitor box will be up against a wall). The chair can be removed easily if entry is a problem.

I'll consider where I might have storage space added. I will have charging ports and such built in, along with lighting and surround sound speakers. Still working on the exterior paneling before I get to installing all the gadgetry.

More or less finished, got it set up to a usable state now. There's still modifications i'll be making as time goes on, I need to get some new gaming peripherals and such first. The monitor needs an adjustable mounting arm so that I can move it closer to the seat, right now it's a bit far away for my eyes. I also have removed the keyboard mount from in these pictures, the sliding pvc rails werent working for the keyboard very well (though they work great for the armrests), I'm going to see about getting some other kind of adjustable platform for the keyboard eventually.

This is awsome. The more I look at it, the moreit makes me want to make something similar O.O , although I'm not much of a joystick guy, so mine wouldbe rahter a driving simulator Big Grin

R....r-run Freelancer on it.

Kinda pointless running freelancer when it cant utilize joysticks =P

It does work great for other games though. Used the setup for arma 3, star citizen, and mechwarrior online so far to pretty good success.
