Nobody cares about video tutorials, I can tell you that right off the bat.

I think turning Pennsy into a one-way system (with no way in from the outside) that drops the player the regular window messages and checks if they did a certain thing (for instance mined enough Helium). It would require careful design not to throw a new player off but I think it might be better than what we have currently.

You need newbies to interact with non-newbie players even if just at an observatory level.

The current location of Penny could only be better if it was a transit system, and not a one way route. Replacing Penny and, say, Ontario would be a good choice, as it involves a mining field in the next system - a source of credits newbies would be highly interested in.

As it is right now though, Penny is doing its job and nothing seems too broken about it. All the system needs is an unwritten rule for pirate players not to be too harsh to players in the Helium field, but that mostly is a problem with the veteran part of the player list, rather than the newbies themselves.

I think pirating in penn is great.. just not the ones that go 'gimme ur monies (2MILL+) or you can't mine here' and especially the ones that try to rush the mugging along... I mean if you are going to mug me don't make it feel like a dirty quickie behind the bins! jeez hehehe I mean if a pirate takes the time to roleplay well enough then I don't mind paying a higher price.
