RE: Best Pvp Ship + Loadout - Wesker - 07-27-2016 The odin (hessian VHF) is the best all around VHF in the mod, youll want to mount 4 purple goddesses on it and 2 mkI debilitator turrets, nuke mine, mosquito CD, and sentinel CMs, get a champion class 10 shield and an enhanced thruster as well as a Armor upgrade MkVIII RE: Best Pvp Ship + Loadout - Burning - 07-27-2016 (07-27-2016, 03:29 AM)Se7ven Wrote: Thank you very much for your advices i will add you these days have no mic at the moment and im not a native englisch speaker Every VHF (Very Heavy Fighter) can get a Armour Upgrade VIII. VHFs are the most used fighters in the game. The local factions of Kusari mostly use Heavy Fighters. SHFs (Super Heavy Fighters) can mount a Heavy Armour Upgrade, but they are large and not a ship you want to use to shoot someone. Yes, the Outcast ID is probably a good pirate ID. Read the server rules before starting anything. RE: Best Pvp Ship + Loadout - Se7ven - 07-27-2016 hmmmm iam wrong or are the purple goddesses not available anymore i looked arround and found no weapon :O RE: Best Pvp Ship + Loadout - Se7ven - 07-27-2016 so any advice should i pick debs + flashpoints now or some id specific weaponds atm im thinking about outcast id and hessian id what weaponds should i use as t8 ? RE: Best Pvp Ship + Loadout - Langolier - 07-27-2016 The Outcast ID is definitely the most versatile of the unlawful factions. Where as most others, such as Liberty Rogues, Lane Hackers, Corsairs etc., are confined to their local "house" space and bordering systems, the Outcasts basically have free reign over most of the Sirius sector. The one major exception being Rheinland space. So if you don't want to be tied down to just one area, Outcast is the way to go. But as Burning stated,,, (07-27-2016, 03:44 AM)Burning Wrote: Read the server rules before starting anything. Make sure to familiarize yourself with the rules so you know what you can and can't do as a pirate. But most of all, have fun! I actually got that one on most of my fighters RE: Best Pvp Ship + Loadout - aerelm - 07-27-2016 There really isn't any absolute "Best" pvp ship/loadout around. There are those that are better than the rest, but other than that, it just comes down to each individual's preferences. While one "elite" guy might like fast VHFs with rapidfire guns, another "elite" guy might prefer to go for a heavier choice of ship and slower refires. Even though Discovery is not perfectly balanced and some combos are still better than the rest, it's not like vanilla where nom-tizona Eagle was the only viable choice.
My suggestion is to try different ships and loadouts yourself and see which ones you're more comfortable with, and then pick based on that. Discovery Wiki (despite being somewhat outdated) is a good source to get you started - You can check these pages: Very Heavy Fighters, Class 7 guns, Class 8 guns, Class 9 guns. Generally speaking, cl7 guns have higher refire rate, while trading damage output for efficiency. Cl8 guns aren't as efficient, and generally have a lower refire rate but dish out more damage than cl7. Cl9 guns (also called "Codename" weapons) have a higher damage output than cl8, but are generally slower both in terms of refire and projectile speed. As for shieldbusters (Anti-shield guns like Debilitators), they're somewhat essential considering the PvP balance in Discovery. With multiple shield classes, your hullbuster guns might end up not doing much damage against certain shields and then you'll end up being a sitting duck, so people generally go for at least 2 debs on their fighters. As for which deb to go for, there are only two available, and their only real difference is their projectile speed, which means it'd be best to go with the one within the speed range of the rest of your guns. And lastly, for the actual ship - As already mentioned, Eagle and Sabre are both good choices (they're both available to every ID), but that's assuming you prefer lighter VHFs. You can also try Raven's Talon if you want a heavier civilian ship. There are also ships like Guardian, Odin, Nyx, Manta, Templar, Titan and Werewolf, which are all pretty good choices (in their own sub-class) but may not be available on your intended ID, considering they're faction ships. You can check that here (it lists which tech can be used on which ID and with how much powercore output). RE: Best Pvp Ship + Loadout - Goldberg - 07-27-2016 Best ship Sabre Fly the Sabre and you can fly every other ship. Trust me, this is why we fly the Sabre in XTF because when you have a clue how to fly a Sabre, it doesn't matter after a few days or months what your enemy is flying, because you will rek him anyways. Also, when you are able to fly a Sabre you can fly every other ship. I say this as a XTF R |
