Amelia didn't particularly have the gut to turn and look at the Officer... she knew she had a debt to Nika... and that she couldn't give away her friend.
She bit her lip before her eyes widened and she realized something she hadn't known this whole time living her life again out of touch with Annika... She had been abandoned: Nika had left her in a building assuming it had blown up and killed her, she didn't want to try and look for her friend...
It was at this moment that Amelia's tone changed in her mind after all the months of turmoil finally made sense to her, her eyes almost welled up at what just rushed through her head, too much to explain... then she turned a stony face at the officer.
Now that you mention it, maybe I wouldn't particularly mind a question or two... Shoot.
She crossed her arms and sat back, awaiting just what questions this military officer could belt at her.
