I am not interested in renewing your contract while you work with Interspace Commerce, at this point, it would be an insurmountable conflict of interests. Clearly Mr. Faulkenrath, I could have asked you all of this over the Neural Net, but I wanted to have a chance to talk to you in person. Everything I had been told about you is that you were a detail oriented individual, with a very good sense for business. But that I could see from all the reports, I didn't need to meet you in person to see that."

I want to make you Vice President of New Market Development. This is a position I think could challenge you in a way you will never be able to be challenged with IC. And this position would offer you opportunities you would never be open to you with IC. I would like you to resign your position with IC and come to IND full time. I would like you to become a key player in the redevelopment of the IND brand and company. This sir, is would be the challenge of a lifetime."

The Rheinlander listened Jethro carefully and nodded a couple of instances. When the IND President finished, he instinctively fixed his glasses which gave him a few precious moments to collect his thoughts.
"Mr Jethro, I would like to thank you for your words and your trust in me. Your offer is undoubtedly quite lucrative, IND is a company with many opportunities as it is not bound by weights or inelastic portfolios. Hence, I have lots of ideas on how to proceed and what direction we could draw for the future.
However, I cannot abandon my position in Interspace Commerce. Back in Rheinland, we are doing a critically important work, gradually shifting Rheinland into a market economy. Since you rejected my previous proposition, what I can offer at this point is my services as an independent contractor on a monthly basis."
