I could quote a governmental website on what freedom of speech means. But that'd be a bit off-topic, I think.
Anyways, in regards to the server-wide messages advertising, I can only imagine how many credits some will be willing to shell out to get their names out there. In any case, it'd likely be too rich for my blood, but then I'm not currently in any factions right now, official or non-official.
Still, it'll be fun to be riding around in my Bison and passing and see the physical billboard imagery. I can't wait to see what folks come up with in the art department, as graphic designs can be powerful marketing tools.

Oh good no, worst plague that ever hit Television has finally find discovery!
I know how comercials can destroy game, i have seen it before. But in this game it all depends how they are set.
For example, comercials on bilbordas when docking on planet(especialy in home system of faction), base, or in bar, trader or equipment shop wuld be perfectly ok and in role play, even in-game bilboards on constuctions in space near tradelines or jump Gates wuld be ok and in RP(it can even be good thing if they are set as destrucionable/respawned after server restart , so that particular faction haters can destroy bilboards as RP thing and faction can chase and punish them).
But, comercials from console for faction as soon you enter system is to intrusive.
Console messages are for tips, advice and help, not to feed somone ego.
