RE: Of War and Peace - Nodoka Hanamura - 12-01-2017 "It seems that is the case, Leviathan." She says, taking the seat, while looking towards him. "The two of them are friends of ours, and Mark had been involved in talks with Shepard and me before all this. They have a bone to pick with Core, and the situation in Delta is as important to them as it is to me, given that Mark was once a denizen of the station and is a Ex-Core operative. When they went AWOL, Core wiped their hands of them, and I'm quoting Daniels here, who I can't believe for the life of me shares a name with a alcoholic beverage - "We don't have any Mark Conway or Seline Magnus in our database.", even though they were clearly flying a Pleco-class Core Gunboat, squawking both a Core IFF and the ident of 'AV-Reaver', as well as the fact that I spoke to Daniels and one of his adjutants personally about Mark prior to going AWOL, given he was the one to bring him up. And they're going to hear about the situation with Sara one way or another, since they were going to be involved in this discussion at the start. If anything, I want them in to at least know what the hell is going to happen, now that Sara is dead in the water to us. They sure as hell can't work with Core again, and Siding with Order is out of the picture since taking pictures was a thing. However, if you insist that they not get involved regarding Auxesia, I understand." Nodoka continues, going on about the situation with Mark and Seline. Honya sighs and looks to Leviathan. "Is there a drink I could have? I'm feeling like having one, if that's okay." she says to him. RE: Of War and Peace - Vendetta - 12-02-2017 "Like I told Honya, my friends call me Hunt. You're included in that category." Leviathan had raised his hands yet again. "If they're willing to undergo security screening then I have no complaints. You can't be too careful with who you trust. You never know who's really on your side and if they truly have your back. Certain topics remain on a need to know basis, but right now we're exploring options that haven't been attempted before. Thankfully, we have access to some slightly antiquated inside information, but it has helped us this far." He added as he relaxed back into the sofa. He then turned to Honya and nodded in response. Hunt raised a metallic skeletal hand into the air and clicked two fingers together twice.Nothing seemed to happen, but after a couple of seconds, a small drone on six insect-like legs with a tail scurried into the room with a tray holding a pitcher of water and two glasses. The drone set it down on the coffee table before the three and scurried out the way it came in. "Help yourselves. If you're hungry, there's also snacks on standby when there's guests." RE: Of War and Peace - Nodoka Hanamura - 12-02-2017 The two take a drink before continuing to speak. "I don't think they'll complain about it." Nodoka says, only for Honya to continue where Nodoka left off. "Seline-san was open to meeting, however she has issues with Raven, But I assume It may have to do with the propaganda revolving around her being infected. Inviting them aboard may help ease their concerns about Auxesia as they have us." Honya turns to the windows. "For the short time I've been here, Auxesia has won me over, however, I want to go over the claims that Shepard-san talked about, if that's okay. For starters, the information regarding Lennox, Tantalus and the others, in her response.. as far as Auxesia is aware, are these valid?" Honya grabs a cookie and slowly eats into it, only for Nodoka to state to Leviathan. "Hunt, We're just trying to get all sides of the picture in all this, which is mainly why we're asking questions." RE: Of War and Peace - Vendetta - 12-02-2017 Leviathan let out a low chuckle."It's quite easy to recognize an interrogation tactic that you've used on others, especially when it's being used on yourself." He stated as he sat up straight. "A couple of years ago, Johan Lennox enlisted in our ranks under the alias of Noah Xonnel. Quite easy to catch if one was actually looking for him. Over the time he spent around us as a Freelancer prior to enlisting, he made us aware of threatening messages he was receiving from Jeremy Hunter. We became aware of his identity only days prior after an incident surrounding one of our more distinguished operatives, Star Paladin Wexler. Under the alias Xonnel, Lennox engaged in several operations against the Overwatch, and retired peacefully at the beginning of this year in a location he asked we do not disclose, as he just wants to be left alone. Myself and Keeper Raven have visited him a couple of times as he is a valued friend." Leviathan explained as he faced Nodoka. "Tantalus on the other hand, was head of The Order Primary Fleet's Horus division. During an incursion in Coronado when we still maintained a close relationship with the Crayterians, we had been providing military support against a large number of infected forces frequently pushing into the system by an ancient jump gate in the barrier nebula. For scientific purposes, we were seeking a means to disable and study the gate. At that time as we had uncovered some information, a rather large group of Order vessels arrived in the system, demanding we depart. The Crayterians established an agreement to which we followed. We were all there for the same reason after all." Leviathan sighed and paused briefly to collect his thoughts. "One day, the man you met - Jonathan Kalh of the Amenhotep, accused us of paying a Freelance gunboat to attack his ship. The gunboat had suffered a weapons malfunction and discharged a single Solaris battery into the shields of the Amenhotep, and we were then violently forced out of Coronado by the Crayterians and Order. Shortly after, Tantalus reaches out and brings to our intention their plan to rescue someone of their Admiral's family from the infestees." He scoffed and shook his head. "They had been in captivity for an extended amount of time. She was, even by their code, a compromised individual. They wasted a fleet to do this. To release a high-risk individual back into the ranks of Liberty, and eradicate a significant scientific site. Tantalus sought a way out, thus he took his ship," He gestured around the room. "The Razgriz, and I helped make it disappear just like the Cincinnati. Later, for a reason that I either don't remember or don't care enough to recall, Kalh took the Amenhotep to Liberty and has served the Republic since." He stopped and relaxed back again. "The Order will say anything to victimize themselves. Our conflict ironically started with them violating the NFZ. You'd think two organizations like ourselves would have every reason to get along, but the reality is one is led by a man child." RE: Of War and Peace - Nodoka Hanamura - 12-02-2017 "The Razgriz.. You know.. there was a old fairy tale book that featured a demon that shared the same name from back on earth." Nodoka says, before continuing. "You have a point. Golanski seems to whine when he doesn't get his way, just like when he threatened to turn every Zoner installation in Sirius to molten Irradiated ash." She says, taking a bag of chips and opening them. "As for the firing upon Order vessels..I assume that she's exaggerating the time with the Amenhotep?" Honya says, tilting her head slightly to the left, curious about the part regarding Auxesia "Shooting every ship they see". RE: Of War and Peace - Vendetta - 12-03-2017 "The Amenhotep had repeatedly engaged our forces in and around Liberty, including an incident where the Hellfire Legion was present and witnessed these actions. They hosted a sit down to try and end the violence, but Kalh had later defected. At the time, we were at war with Liberty." Leviathan explained. "There have been instances of us tracking down Order vessels and profiting from their destruction due to local bounty boards, but every action and intention thus far has been to push them far away from our home front. Other times we have directly gone on the offensive. There were several instances where we paused our attacks to discuss peace, but unless it's on their terms, they have refused." He added and shrugged. "Besides, if we went around destroying every Order vessel we see, then we wouldn't have negotiated with Shepard in Delta, or tolerated Vex's existence. They can paint us as bloodthirsty animals all they want, but the record shows that we have tried to be reasonable, and received either silence or threats." RE: Of War and Peace - Nodoka Hanamura - 12-03-2017 "Indeed it does." Honya says as Nodoka drinks. "There are two other things that are on my mind, one that probably would be best for a Order member to answer, but I want to see if Auxesia has any idea about it. Jeremy Hunter - It says that he died stopping a coup against the Order Command.. I think shepard puts it better than I would.." she says before clearing her throat and picking up the tablet. "As for death of Jeremy Hunter, he was a dear friend of the Admiral. He was considered to be evaporated after a missile attack committed by a treacherous group in an ultimately unsuccessful coup against both of the Admirals. Golanski himself was gravely injured in the process and misses him by a considerable amount, each and every day." She finishes. "Does this corroborate with your intelligence reports on Mr. Hunter?" RE: Of War and Peace - Vendetta - 12-03-2017 Hunt shrugged. "Our intel on the matter only suggested that he was not amongst the living, because frankly we didn't really care. As reasonable as Hunter tried to be, he still threatened children. It's obvious from his cause of death that there is a significant level of instability within their ranks." He responded. Hunt looked towards the window and out into the void. There was a clear view of planet Elgin as the Andraste orbited the small icy world. "That being said, I may have something in mind." Hunt added. He turned his gaze back to Nodoka. "Before I get to making a more concrete idea from it, I'd like to upgrade your clearance and offer the both of you the Captain's cabin while you're here. It's far more roomy and comfortable, and is stocked with some spare robes and clothing in case of extended guest visits. It may make you feel a bit more comfortable." Hunt said, directing the last portion towards Honya. "As we're likely expecting guests, it's best we stay on the Andraste. Security first. Otherwise I'd invite you both to stay in Ismara while you're visiting." RE: Of War and Peace - Nodoka Hanamura - 12-03-2017 Nodoka looked to Honya, as would a husband to their wife, and asked. "I have no problems with it, if you don't, Honya." Her contemporary nods, and turns to Hunt, "We'll take it, Hunt. If anything now that this is off my mind, I feel like relaxing. Also.. I do have to say this - Although not as part of the administration, you have mine and Hanamura-sensei's support." Nodoka picks up from her partner. "Although what I can do now is limited, Auxesia seems to be a viable option for the future of Sirius. You're playing your cards at the poker table like a special forces operative would infiltrate a Coalition installation back in my day - covert and masterful. My father had served with the Alliance prior to everything taking a turn for the worse, hence why i'm so versed in Military terms and tactics, by the way." Nodoka says, finishing the drink afterwards. RE: Of War and Peace - Vendetta - 12-03-2017 Hunt nodded as she spoke, as a subconscious indication that he was listening. "I have served across Sirius in a variety of different roles. I was a Commander in the Navy, a SOARD agent in the Legion before the solidication of the Commonwealth. I was CEO of a subsidiary corporation, and Warlord of some Corsair group. I've orchestrated the theft of two warships, including the one you're standing on and a Monument-Class Dreadnought from the Navy. The former of which I was comatose for. I'm also an engineer with some minor and self-taught experience in the fields of neuropsychology and medicine." He paused for a moment, then sighed. "If there's one thing I've learned over my forty years of life, it's that conflict in our species is an inevitability. From the creation of evil machinations to simple disagreements, the human race is endlessly following a path of self-destruction and stupidity. All we can do is prevent and preserve, and what little support we receive, it's always good to know people see things as we do." Hunt continued on. "I have created a great many things that I'm not particularly proud of, but no one can change history. The least I can do now is prevent people from using similar things to kill themselves or others." He cleared his throat, despite not having one. "If there's nothing else you'd like to ask, I can let you both relax some more." Hunt said, standing up and brushing off his shirt. |
