Consider my statement on their responsibility retracted.

MRG bringing Capitals to Sigma-15 wasn't essential to the roleplay. If this suggestion was implemented at the time, they would have simply brought something else. It wouldn't have made a difference to the RP. And heck, with an Official ID they'd be able to do it.

Look at all the people around here who constantly complain that we're not at 200/200 times anymore. If people bait, they can get sanctioned for it - best example is Shelco's GMG CD'ing my Gaian in Bretonia for ten minutes. Let those people have PvE or do research or engage nomads - you don't need any ZoI line to do any of those. You should encourage possible RP encounters and not restrict stuff because some lolwuts annoy you. Just as you will always find something to get annoyed about, they will find ways to annoy you. No matter whether on a Council Battleship, a Nephilim or a Ranseur.

How is this relevant? They can pick any range of ship classes from the factions and IDs that already exist in the Omicrons. Foreign caps that come for mission farming tend to log when no one is around and sneakily farm in a way where they can avoid interaction. That's not productive to regional activity. Dare I say, a farming Neph can even be more productive to Omicron activity than a farming Redemption.

You're even admitting these people are lolwuts. Why are you enabling them? Isn't it better to tackle the problem head on?

And they're failing at this miserably.

That and this cannot be enforced with SRP IDs, as their ZoIs are constantly changing with their characters, not to mention all SRP IDs in game are generic IDs that just say "Go to the forum thread for this ship's ID." Pretty sure FLHook can't parse that crap without it being in the game.

ZoIs can change with roleplay developments. For example, The Core ID has ZoI in Sigma-15 now. They can bring caps there, as per the ID restriction. It works.

But uh, I think you may have misinterpreted my thread incorrectly. I'm not ranting about SRP IDs. If an SRP Redemption wants to fly everywhere, let them as it's admin approved. If a Council Redemption wants to fly everywhere, that's stupid. It should stick to it's ZoI.

Can you please enlighten me in regards to the complex and intricate roleplay you have for justifying your RM Battleship in Omicron Delta?

Battlegroup Harmony has their own ID. They can be allowed to take caps out of their ZoI.

Because they're attached to their characters and ships.

Because it's not fun when other people dictate RP to you.

Because variety in RP and people who are attached to their characters are more fun to interact with than people who choose an ID solely on the grounds of what it allows for them to shoot.

Jesus.

You really should take a look at the video first before judging. Harmony is fighting Liberty Infectees, and those show up frequently in Delta.

Implying a Valor flying to Omicron Delta abandoning the front lines to shoot Nomads is good RP. They don't even have a usable ID there.

If they absolutely want to bring their character there, they can do it in something that isn't a cap.

It's not dictating their RP. It's about preserving RP consistency and quality of regions in Sirius.

RE: Lock Capital Ships to Zone of Influence on Independent IDs - Sombs - 02-22-2018

Nope, it's limiting their gameplay and RP. Who are you to tell people what gameplay they are allowed to enjoy when it is within the rules? Holy christ and allah, for someone who doesn't even log frequently you're pretending much recently.

RE: Lock Capital Ships to Zone of Influence on Independent IDs - Enkidu - 02-22-2018

No.

If people don't like it, they can log to shoot them.

Stop inventing reasons to not play the game and make the learning experience of new players even worse.

Some people have pre-file SRP ships which haven't been core requested yet.

Some admins have lives and want to live them.

Some players actually want peoples actions to have consequences rather than dumb railroading.
