Alright so a supply board. Thanks I'll try that first then.

Since you have access to some of this special BS weapons, why don't you offer them for a big big supply run.

No clue like: We give you two of them for like 1 month for a fully supply service.
The first weapons will arrive the supplier at the start, the second one at the end.

However I do think OF should get admin support usually to matters like this. There are much official factions, who don't have the ability to gain credits that easy as others for buffing server beneficial activities like this.

Generally, money. A lot of money gets the job done for anyone. If you have special relations with specific groups you can make some kind of an inRP agreement, or perhaps push it further by promising tech (x amount of guns for starters, etc.).

I also don't really want daily supplies or anything. It's more about building stuff.

I beg to excuse my lack of maintenance. I'll refresh all registries now.

Back in the day we had supply boards with Bowex. Most indies werent interested back the either but you could count on some official faction folks to run the goods you'd need. Not necessarily for profit. To be fair, there was more trade traffic back then.

This. Considering that Grey Market has just apparently ceased to be, this is your best bet right now.

(considering that a public supplies board for a project on this end is being drawn up, yeah, supplies boards are the in thing now)

If it would be that easy, Council Job Center would flourish like mad. We offer at least contraband profits for hauling any commodity to any neutral partner and the payout just gets higher the better standing you have with us, up to almost ore profits for official members. Bounties range from 2,5mils to 12,5mils from smallest to largest target on lowest payout, and gets higher the same way. There isn't too many folks flocking to us though.

This thread is good and I'm curious if anyone has any good idea for attracting haulers other than more and more credits, I am in the same situation too as Skorak or what Laura C. described before (except the "we can't invest billions" part):

Wrote: I remember how the RFP was roleplaying rebuilding of Brandenburg Station and despite we made delivery bonuses, we had troubles to attract traders to do it and in the end were saved by few dedicated players from official factions. Not a single indie was interested, probably because while profit/time ratio was really high for NPC cargos, it was still not on par with ore trading (we could not afford to pay bonuses that high and invest billion or so for something what was just roleplay representation).

Given that, I think there's likely more to it than just "money, money, money", perhaps better advertisement, but I don't think I've managed to find the right answer yet. Anyone coming forward with it is more than welcome to share their findings, and any help would be really appreciated from my side as well.

Until then, some shameless self-advertising:

What about player-paid-admin-approved-trade-order-events that we discussed in OFL few months ago?

I don't want to do oorp diplomacy but I also don't intend to send out 10 comms that won't be unanswered.

Does anyone have a clever idea for that? I tried to make an undirected message but that didn't quite work out.

This is about building stuff, not maintenance. I could sure do a lot myself but it feels weird. Harmony is not a trading group.

I'm pretty sure I just missed a lot of groups that would even be active around the area.
Hello. What I am about to purpose will likely bring "What about RP" arguments, how ever being as the nature of base/commodity building brings extreme low profit margin deliveries and the increase of pirate/privateer activity here at Disco makes doing deliveries of this nature unattractive to indie traders/haulers to even consider joining a trader faction let alone take contracts ourselves for your delivery needs. Job board sounds good, incentives idea is okay. those ideas will not make up for unrealistic pirate cr demands "2-5 million creds to pass or refuse and be destroyed". 3-4 such demands in one trip is what I have experienced many times and loss of profits. Even increased profits and incentives will only encourage pirates (indie and Factions) to up their cr demands. The only way to stop this and attract indie haulers and factions is if you as Adimn where to make a blanket law of" No attacking, privateering or pirating traders/haulers carrying ONLY base/commodity building materials with cargo space of 2000 units or higher" making it CLEAR "ONLY base/commodity building materials keeps them exempt from piracy/privateering and 1 unit outside of base/commodity building materials negates said law and protection" and make the Base/Commodity building material list so it will be clear to all what is and what is not protected under this Law,and if pirated/privateered then make it a punishable offence with a fine of 10-20 million creds and 3 days ban from forum and game play. The fact that us traders/haulers can give the "middle finger" to pirates and privateers with these types of hauling jobs protected by this type of law would be attractive in itself without the "Incentive Pay or Side commodity deals". I have three 5k haulers with no weapons or armor with barrier freighter shields for max unit deliveries and something like this law idea + 1000 cr a unit profit after purchase cost of base/commodity building materials will bring me and other traders to your base/commodity building table. I hope you can see this may very well solve your indie/faction trader problem and I thank you for your time.
