The Wiki - tazuras - 02-03-2009 Sweet! Thanks loogas! The Wiki - Marburg - 02-03-2009 I'll admit that until recently, I've all but ignored the wiki...going through it last week however made me discover how cool it truly is, & although it's not hit the mainstream of the community yet, & has alot of room for growth, it still rocks like a crack-ho working a double shift at the local quarry. After I teach myself how to post there within form, I'll be doing my part to fill in some of the blanks & try to give an answer to everything you wanted to know about the Gaians but were afraid to ask. ...& now that I've taken the time to truly look through it, I'm suprised that we are all not trampling over one another to take part & get in on the ground floor & change it from just being cool, to being indispensable. The Wiki - Blodo - 02-03-2009 Shameless plug of some of those more detailed articles: http://discoveryfl.com/wiki/index.php?title=Freelancer http://discoveryfl.com/wiki/index.php?titl...ic_of_Rheinland http://discoveryfl.com/wiki/index.php?title=Red_Hessians http://discoveryfl.com/wiki/index.php?title=Gas_Miners_Guild This is just as a motivator. We need more articles like those! While I do agree with you in theory, in practice there is so much that may be changed that I don't personally know of that it doesn't seem effective to modify much. The Wiki - tazuras - 02-03-2009 You have a good point, I think the most of the inner systems should be close enough though that articles can be made for them. If there are changes I would guess them to be slight enough that they wouldn't require re-writing the whole article. Can anyone working on .85 comment on this? The Wiki - looqas - 02-04-2009 Guys: Please take a look at Style Guide and the example pages. Those are the formats we should be following. Now there seems to be again sprouting up pages that are copied from the old versions, like The format we should be doing: http://discoveryfl.com/wiki/index.php?title=Newark_Station And the one of the old versions: http://discoveryfl.com/wiki/index.php?title=Arranmore_Base Please do not put ships for sale there OR Commodities bought. The reason is that we should let people discover them themselves. And you end up doing a lot of extra work since 4.85 will change those too. When the 4.85 comes we need to go through all the bases anyway, so no need to make it even worse. So use the Style Guide and follow it, please. The Wiki - SevereTrinity - 02-04-2009 When will the complete ship renders for the wiki be done? I did a bunch when I had some free time, a lot are still missing or unsatisfactory. The Wiki - FooFighter - 02-04-2009 ' Wrote:Guys: Please take a look at Style Guide and the example pages. The Wiki - Kambei - 02-04-2009 No Yes No Yes: there is a lot info what should be on the wiki too... for example vanila ships sux against explosives, TCD make NPCs angry etc. etc. |
