Run, don't walk, run and get your copy of DoW 2 instead.
No superweapons (depends on defenition, I guess), no silly base building (almost) , no turtles ('cept for dead 'uns), no "no rush 6hrs L0lz".

Oh, and I loved Generals, for a while. Then they never fixed it, and it is slow, and it was hard finding games I enjoyed. Sold it on ebay.
DoW2, right now playing the co-op campaign and having great fun - and the MP looks promising, even though it is horribly broken right now. If THQ drops the ball, I expect I'll be offering DoW2 up on ebay as well...
