RE: QC Disbandment Notice - Kazinsal - 10-30-2019 You were one of the last good factions on Discovery and if the reasons for your disbandment aren't a sign of the times then I don't know what is. Pouring one out for you all. Sláinte. (10-30-2019, 01:57 AM)Lythrilux Wrote: You can pretty much justify disbanding just about every faction with the points you made. The game is stuck in limbo and everyone is suffering. You'd honestly be better holding onto officialdom for the time being imo. You know the saying that it's often less painful to just tear the band-aid off instead of peeling it as slowly as possible? It's well past time for Disco to just grip it and rip it, I think, for this exact reason. RE: QC Disbandment Notice - StDH - 10-30-2019 Best OC faction i've ever seen. You made Malta active and thriving both inRP and ooRP. The cooperation between QC and IRMM taught me how things work from political, tactical, inRP and ooRP sides. It was fun defending Malta against IMG, CR, Order, Nomads and whatever stuff tried to fly there. Thanks to you, Malta's relationship with GC- reached what many other factions purposely refused to. You didn't kneel to either Velvet's empty threats as they would like to. And together we destroyed IMG's Fort Siloso including many Gallic ships that appeared back then and even today, for which i received an award from you for the dedication. It was an Honour.
RE: QC Disbandment Notice - Durandal - 10-30-2019 Time to nuke Cuatroce stimulants from git, I guess. We were days away from a patch, too. Maybe you folks should communicate better with the community. RE: QC Disbandment Notice - Warhawk - 10-30-2019 (10-30-2019, 07:53 AM)Kalhmera Wrote:(10-30-2019, 12:45 AM)Cuatroce Wrote: 3. No news, no reply, although it was crucial to our RP plans From the outside looking in, we're left wondering whether QC was impatient and premature, or the devs shafted them by leading them to believe no development was ever going to be made. The truth is usually somewhere in the middle, but around here you never know. All doomsaying and deathforecasting aside, I agree with the premise of the OP to focus on unofficial factions. That's where you'll find what's left of the motivation, along with the indies that still give a little bit of fresh kick to the server. RE: QC Disbandment Notice - -Rax- - 10-30-2019 I can be 1iC problem solved. Jokes aside, that was actually a fun faction to fly with. RIP QC , and shortly rip L\- next time go fly indies RE: QC Disbandment Notice - Reeves - 10-30-2019 (10-30-2019, 07:53 AM)Kalhmera Wrote:(10-30-2019, 12:45 AM)Cuatroce Wrote: 3. Slow development. No news, no reply, although it was crucial to our RP plans As much as the staff is famous for their mismanagement or even outright inability to manage, I don't think this is necessarily their fault. You can't expect to be given an early scoop on whether or not something substantial might occur in the storyline purely because of how this community reacts to change of any sort. I understand why nothing was said, but at the same time it does feel silly that there was zero coordination and transparency regarding the request. And to then have that result in the deletion of the material that the team vested time in creating is a waste, and one that comes at the cost of the community at large given the nature of opportunity cost. That much is a little disappointing to me, and I think a little transparency could have gone a long way here, and the very least prevented a waste of development focus. RE: QC Disbandment Notice - Durandal - 10-30-2019 Probably wouldn't be the worst idea to make the approved development requests subforum visible, with a notice that coming changes are pending implementation. RE: QC Disbandment Notice - Lythrilux - 10-30-2019 I think OP's concern is more about the speed at which things are processed and the powerlessness they feel when it comes to faction roleplay. Giving visibility to the sub forum isn't a bad idea but I can't help but feel like that'd fail to address the issue(s) highlighted. That would be great, it would also stop the People from asking: Done yet >implement a random number of ? here< |
