Boy am I glad I filed that GCA| officialdom request in time. (^:

EDIT: I do think this is a bad change though. It would demotivate people even further to bother going for officialdom.

Mind 1.1, boys. Post removed. Repeated violations earn warning level increases from now on.

Who even had this idea to begin with... I mean, I see what you try to do. "Make sure only committed factions apply for officialdom". Six months is very long though, as pointed out by pretty much everyone, it's far too discouraging. Revert or I let Meph steal your beers.

RE: Faction Officialdom - Lythrilux - 02-09-2020

I have to admit, in the past, I did always find it silly to see new factions pop up and then only hours later pop in an Officialdom request when they were still nobodies.

But back then, such occurrences happened monthly, sometimes even weekly, and the server pop was a lot higher. Given the state of the community, I don't think this is an issue currently. I feel like having this change now when the server pop is lower and factions dying and struggling for activity - both officials and unofficials - is not good for server health. The intent is there and is understandable, but in practice it's going to hurt more than help imo.

RE: Faction Officialdom - Typrop - 02-09-2020

This more or less reads like an attempt to institute a bureaucratic barrier for faction officialdom requests simply so they don't have to be processed as often, in an environment where (comparitively) few factions are made. Six months is definitely too long, and the old system was more or less fine as-is.

Really not liking this trend of continually adding more bureaucracy tbh.

who cares, at this point, we're just riding out the last surf. Just enjoy the ride, it ain't getting better no matter what.

Player count is definitely better than half an year ago. I wish the same could be said about the server ping when a fight happens...

RE: Faction Officialdom - Hokan - 02-09-2020

Should have done the same thing as you Backo.
Now we're going to be shafted for half a year just to get to the point we're we seen as equals to the two other factions that we're more active than, combined.
