I don't think using Starspheres that aren't actually part of the mod in a screen that is supposed to represent the mod is a good idea

Yes of course. I did include in the OP the line to not focus on the space background.

I like the current logo a lot, because it looks modern. "Freelancer" in its original font is instant nostalgia though. Furthermore, "Discovery" in the Freelancer font doesn't look good in my opinion. Maybe make it "disdoverygc.com" instead and make it a lot smaller and place it below the lower line under "Freelancer"?

I honestly worry about Search engine Optimization for Freelancer Discovery.
I end up googling "Freelancer this or that" fairly often, and get bombarded with results talking about freelancers in industry, not the game from 2003.
However, I do very much like the new font.
I'd prefer if the Storm's Wake was in the same font.

I think it's important to keep the name as Discovery Freelancer but putting emphasis on "Freelancer" by using the original design is a great idea. I found this place because I wanted to play Freelancer again. Other people who have played Freelancer in the past in other settings will see the font and will come to check it out.

This has been my problem every time I've ever searched for anything "Freelancer" related.

Do you know who made the Storms Wake logo? If so I can ask them for the font name and its characteristics
