There wouldn't be anything bad if both sides recognizes that gank is just a realization of a tactical advantage. Do you have the opportunity to gather more ships than your opponents? Then you dictate the rules of the upcoming battle. And it is up to you, then, whether you'll gank or not. Or is the opponents so strong that for some players it's more like magic than skill? Well, overwhelm them with quantity, but not quality, if you can gather enough. Ganks isn't a problem, imo. Problem is when the same people scream that ganks are bad and duels are the engine of PVP-progress. But in the next battle they themselves play the well known scene with snow white and black guys, with you in the role of snow white, mhm. So... Well, that is, if they do this it's totes okeh, but if you do so, then this is a terrible crime and you must stop right there, criminal scum. Unfortunately, most often behind all this is OORP hatred, total uncaring to other players, unhealthy addiction on own wins. Hypocrisy. Duplicity. Self-centeredness. And this all is very... Regrettable, eh.

People who constantly type out their character's name while flying a single-seat ship are silly. Also constantly using ??: as said character name defeats the purpose and is deviant art levels of sonic fanfic bad.

If you get ganked...its your own fault...MOST OF THE TIME.
and for God sake stop jumping into unbalanced fights without a proper fleet/numbers and then throwing up in faction feedbacks and Discord servers.

/1 /2 more often than not is just the antithesis of roleplay. Only done to meet the minimum standard needed to shoot someone so they do not get sanctioned.
