FLHook - Dab - 01-07-2007 They found that repeated commands in FLHook could cause crashes, so until that is fixed, its likely going to be an admin-only tool.. FLHook - Forsaken - 01-07-2007 Aye you are right Dab. I know a server that had to do a wipe due to player file corruption caused by repeated crashes using the beam command. If a server crashes more than 2 times a day, and this goes on for an extended period of time, expect people to start missing characters eventually:(. FLHook - ghostcat - 01-07-2007 the beam command? yeesh that smacks too much of cheating. Flshell has a couple basic ones, like the commands i listed. The most usefull one is the st which shows players tags and ships. FLHook - Wolfpack98 - 01-07-2007 Well, I've used the beam command, but only on my accounts and nothing more. I've used it once or twice on other players to get them in a system to add them to a group and kicked them right back where they were, but that was it. And the characters in question are still fine. FLHook - ghostcat - 01-07-2007 Just realized there is at least one player command that works, /i [name of char] to invite someone to a group from anywhere. FLHook - Nightfall - 01-07-2007 That one works in a very weird way, sometimes does and sometimes not, and btw, it's just abbreviation of the /invite and it's not FLHook or FLShell command, it's was working without those on. Anyway, it seems it won't work if the char you're inviting had a name change for some reason. Also, the /s (/system) and /g (/group) chat commands work weird (sometimes do and sometimes don't) FLHook - Virus - 01-07-2007 The /i only works on characters that have had NO name changes in the past... FLHook - Ross - 01-07-2007 Yeah, i tried it on super, and it didn't work. Which was quite annoying. I think giving players the FLhook command to transfer money between characters is a good idea, as it would make it so much easier for people making new characters. IMHO we should try it, if it causes crashing then just take it off. FLHook - Korrd - 01-07-2007 I've tried the /i between ships whose names were never changed, and it fails to work too... FLHook - Lump Lorry - 01-07-2007 ' Wrote:I've tried the /i between ships whose names were never changed, and it fails to work too... Strange... in my experience the /i failed only when I tried to invite a player that can use the Universe chat. Maybe there is some kind of conflict between unverse chat and /i. But that player had been able to invite me. |
