From: "SLRC-XV>Starlight" - Dr. Rose Emery Subject: RE:Station Upgrades Encryption Strength: Zoner Protocol A pleasure to meet your acquaintance Mr. Kelso. See below for the responses to your queries: The purpose for the Biodomes are for Biological, Biology, and Botany research aboard Ikarus station. This is a planned expansion of our scientific team that has been in the works for many months. Some are currently residing on Freeport 10 in order to utilize their Biodomes and would like to have them relocated to their home to alleviate stressors on the Freeport 10 resources as well to enable our teams to not need to take a lengthy flight to and from Freeport 10 every day for their studies. The systems will be powered off a standard power plant with a connection to a large battery plant for backups. Presently, our station is Core level 3, and will be advancing to Core level 4 in the coming days once the finalization of our systems come online. In a few months we plan to attempt a Core 5 systems upgrade to finalize Ikarus station's overhaul. The Biodomes, however, will be installed during the Core 4 level of systems and will be integrated into the Core 5 systems once that upgrade is successful. The budget is wide open, within reason. I would hate to tell fath--er--Dr. Montgomery that we went over budgetary requirements due to an oversight on my part by giving you a blank check. We look forward to working with you. Please let me know if you have any more questions or concerns for this monumental project. Sincerely, --Dr. Rose Emery

To: Dr. Rose Emery CC: OSI internal Subject: RE:Station Upgrades Good day Doctor Emery, Thank you for the swift response. Now the engineering team would like to do an on-site survey as to assess both the station and the optimal positioning of the bio-domes regarding to the nearest stellar body. For this I would like to schedule a visit. The team will consist of two or three engineers as well as a botanist and myself. As I love to get out of the office and will enjoy a change of scenery. It would also be a good opportunity to talk about this face-to-face. Regarding the costs. Only after a survey can we crunch the numbers and make an estimate. Where it comes down to payment OSI requests her clients to pay 15 percent of the sum up front as a down-payment with the remainder of the balance to be paid when the work is completed. I look forward to hear from you and hope you agree with both the terms as well as the plan for a site survey. If so, please send us the system and coordinates of the Ikarus station. From: "SLRC-XV>Starlight" - Dr. Rose Emery Subject: RE:Station Upgrades Encryption Strength: Zoner Protocol Perfect! I'll advise Dr. Montgomery of your impending arrival. Does this weekend work for you and your team? We can also give you a short tour of our facility as it is as well as a secured briefing on our plans for "Ikarus Phase 2". We look forward to meeting in person. Sincerely, --Dr. Rose Emery

To: Dr. Rose Emery CC: OSI internal Subject: RE:Station Upgrades Good day Doctor Emery, My apologies for not replying sooner, as you may have heard about the situation on Planet Erie it has kept us at OSI quite busy. I have assembled a team and can make it tomorrow. I know it is a bit of a last moment planning yet should that not work we can arrive on-site coming Saturday. Please let me know if this short-notice visit will work for you and your team. From: "SLRC-XV>Starlight" - Dr. Rose Emery Subject: RE:Station Upgrades Encryption Strength: Zoner Protocol I have discussed this with Dr. Montgomery and we should be good for tomorrow. The Dreamscape has just returned from a long term research mission and he is in good spirits, the best time to meet with him. We look forward to meeting tomorrow. Sincerely, --Dr. Rose Emery

To: Dr. Rose Emery CC: OSI internal Subject: RE:Station Upgrades Good day Doctor Emery, Thank you for the great reception at Ikarus Station. Both me and my team were impressed by not only what you have achieved, but also the kind and knowledgeable staff aboard. We enjoyed the assessment and I enjoyed our talk and the tour around the station. Now it took us a bit of time to crunch the numbers as we had to consult some external experts, yet hereby we want to share our report with you. Please go over it in detail and let us know what should be altered and/or when we should proceed. Now to the finance part of this, should you wish us to proceed with this project than the projected costs for this build are 769m SC. This includes both the build of a single bio-dome with hydroponic capabilities, site survey, personnel costs and station calibration while excluding a possible upgrade of electrical systems. If your accounting department could do our accounting department the favor of making a down-payment of 115.350.000 SC (15%) to OSI-Bank.Deposits we can start making arrangements. On behalf of OSI I look forward to your acceptance and hope our price as well as out report meets your expectations. From: "Ikarus Station" - Dr. Sailas Montgomery Subject: RE: Station Upgrades Encryption Strength: Zoner Protocol It was indeed wonderful having you aboard to tour the station. We should certainly do that again sometime, maybe over drinks? I digress, on to the subject matter of the message. Apart of our major station overhaul will be a large battery pack capable of providing a charge in excess of 200 Terrawatts. Much of this power is earmarked for other purposes but even a miniscule percentage of that power should be more than adequate for powering the biodomes and the additional lighting required due to the low output of the Tau-23 star. Where would you like the materials delivered to in order for this process to begin? Lastly, you will find the down payment delivered to your banks, allow some time for it to fully process. Please let us know if you require anything further. Again, thank you for your time and patience on our reply, the situations in the greater Zoner nation have somewhat slowed our response times. Sincerely, --Dr. Sailas Montgomery

To: Dr. Sailas Montgomery CC: OSI internal Subject: RE:Station Upgrades Good day Doctor Montgomery, Thank you for the down-payment. Janice from accounting was more than happy to report this to me. We can start construction as soon as we get the confirmation from you. OSI will dispatch a team headed by chief engineer Barry Smith along with biologist Laisa Amaturo as well as several construction engineers to your station. They will discuss the plans with your engineering team and make a 'shopping list' of items needed. Suffice to say, not all items are needed at once and we believe SLRC is capable of getting the items needed on time when needed. As our team will remain on station for the duration of the build (apart from the occasional leave) we will work closely with your staff. Please understand that our initial analysis expects your engineering staff to be expanded with at least ten experienced engineers. For now we have calculated the project duration to be a little over 30 days provided all the experienced staff are on station and all needed supplies are delivered on time. Should there be less than the required personnel OSI can provide extra staff to help with the build provided they are accommodated for and at extra cost. The same applies for any deliveries needed which cannot be supplied by your staff. I look forward to hear from you regarding the start of the project as well as if OSI shipping of materials and additional personnel is needed.
