Attention Core Vessels and pilots, The Everest is back to action after a long conservation!

After a long period of conservation and restoration, we have again launched this unit into action. The first thing we encountered was a problem with the communication module at the stage of being at the docks. And to our surprise, the starting engines were also not set up properly, at one point, even the bartender's robot crossed itself when we left the docks. What the girls experienced in my cabin is hard to imagine... But the experienced team, who really wanted to live, quickly fixed everything within a few hours, and Everest still left the dock intact!

Whatever they say "Do not pull the bull by the horns", I decide to immediately send this bull to the test of combat under the cover of fighters and bombers. We headed to Omicron Xi, into the realm of poverty and dirt, in a word - into the space of corsairs. We were quickly spotted by their defense forces and intercepted.

Having taken the fight from the enemy bulk, we lost only one bomber, and inflicted crushing damage on one cruiser, which was soon covered by the massive dreadnought hull, we had to retreat a little. Soon, we took the fight from him, we will meet the enemy with the tickling of our light guns, and having made huge holes not far from the command bridge, the dreadnought also had to retreat under cover of the gunboat. The dreadnought left, but the ship, whose captain was clearly not more sober than a goat, paid with his ship for all his comrades.

Everest was evacuated under proper cover and successfully returned home with some damage that will be repaired by tomorrow.

Thats all.

Ave,

During a short patrol, I fell on a nomad with a considerable size manageable for a fighter to take it down.

I started the hostility when the nomad and I entered the asteorid field covering the Zeta jump hole. The nomad did a severe damage on my fighter and alast, reinforcements arrived. Hawke covered me after Valkyrie told him to jump in and because of the help, I managed to return safe and sound at Yaren Base.

Ave,
Since coming off medical leave and gaining new legs it seems to be helping. At least all the blood doesn't rush so far down when maneuvering. First time being off station I found myself aiding an Outcast fleet within Omicron Xi taking on Corsairs. They were caught in low numbers and I picked them apart, seems numbers is their only advantage at times. I danced between two Battle Cruiser class ships with ease and claimed the glory of one of their destruction. Paid them back for taking my legs in the last mission. I look forward to testing my new augments in the future.

Ave,

As I came back from Dagger Outpost with my new Pleco into Omicron Delta, I flew into a Zoner Whale loaded with Iridium, callsign Zach.Peterson. He greeted me and made his presence known and thanked The Core for keeping the security in our Omicron systems. He inquired if we knew of any Iridium miners present at that moment, which I knew not. His intent was to load up his Whale faster he said. A rather uninteresting conversation at first.

However.

I asked if he'd seen any activity on his trade mission that would be of interest to The Core, which he had not at that exact time. He did however tell me there had been problems in Omicron Zeta near Planet Palmyra. There had been some of his fellow Zoner pilots venturing there that ended up disappearing, but he could not specify further as he didn't know the cause. The Zoner said he would be grateful if I or any other members of The Core could look into it, if it pleased us.

Since this Zoner "threat" couldn't be specified and I didn't want any hostile presence in Zeta, I decided to venture with Mr.Peterson since he was going through there and on to Omicron Minor and I would patrol our interests either way. Core|Ariel joined in on this precarious patrol.

Once in Omicron Zeta there were no tangible threats on the scanners near Planet Palmyra or the route to Omicron Minor jumphole. We left the Zoner to jump and went on our business.

I can't say if this threat is or was real, if this independent Zoner had other motives or both. Perhaps this was all a decoy. I will keep an eye on the Iridium mining activity with an extra eye and visit Planet Palmyra at least once per shift just in case he was speaking the truth.

The way he spoke and asked about us seeing any miners was odd, this whole thing had decoy written all over it but nothing showed on my scanners at least.

Something is off.

:::[TRANSCRIBING FEED...]:::

Greetings,

It seems as if I jinxed something with my previous report with nothing found on patrol in Omicron Zeta.

When entering The AV-Triarii and switching on the systems there were chatter right away on our internal comms. Ariel reported a Nomad presence in Omicron Zeta and the WV-Everest where en-route already. Apparently there was an Order vessel already engaged by the Nomad as well.

We seemed to rush for Zeta from different directions and I was furthest away. Ariel reported that the Order vessel was destroyed near Planet Palmyra and the WV-Everest told me to make haste, and I did. Then the comms went silent.

I jumped to Zeta and on my scanner I saw my fellow wingmen with the WV-Mako included. After a split second the WV-Mako landed a huge hit to what I realized was a Nomad capital ship.

Ariel and I went in to assist to try and divert the Nomads fire onto us. The WV-Mako went down after having fought the vermin on its own before we arrived. The WV-Everest engaged and led the battle, providing tactical orders over the comms.

We all took plenty of fire from the Nomad but Ariel's and my attempts of grabbing its attention seemed to work well enough, giving the WV-Everest opportunity to punish this sacrilegious filth.

In the end the WV-Everest landed a barrage that perished the Nomad by fire, resistance and domination.

Dear Guardian's friends and superiors.

My name is Carl Furlain and I'm guardian class at Core.

Today was the day a lot of things happened.

Crowded on Planet Nauru and with several classes of ships at my disposal, I took the opportunity to set up some of them that were all in dismay.

Following the boss's suggestion, I put three Kinectc Cannon and two Battleship Pulse on Mako Core| WV-Stagen and also replaced some destroyer weapons, so it was of great use in combat with the LNS-Tundra. The Destroyer Core configuration| WV-Nauru was excellent, as it was decisive in the destruction of lns-tundra, as reported in the photographic evidence attached in this report.

The Combat took place while Guardian Whesto piloted the ship Core| AV-Triarii being in the Omicron Delta was approached by LNS-Tundra and called for help. I was testing the Destroyer Core| WV-Nauru at Omicron Rho when the distress call came to us. We immediately exuded a navigation albus to Omicron Delta. There arriving we found the Guardian Whesto fighting valiantly and after a few warnings to the misdemeanor, who continued shooting everywhere, it was necessary to neutralize him.

It is also worth honoring two ships of the fleet that promptly answered the call; and they are:
Core|WV-Cerberus,
Core|Jason, McPherson.

Other ships will be configured properly and core will always be prepared for any activity in the Omicrons and also in the Omegas.

:::[TRANSCRIBING FEED...]:::

Greetings to The Core and Carl Furlain,

Thank you Furlain and the rest of you for answering the call. This was an encounter out of the ordinary, to say the least. I'm glad to hear the loadout did you well, even more glad that I was able to help you set it up earlier in the shift, now that you had to use it.

As for the encounter.

I was guarding Yaren Base since there had been plenty of activity in Omicron Delta and Rho. There were a few Zoners doing their shipping runs, otherwise quiet for the time being. Then on my cockpit HUD I saw an LNS ship pop up, a strange place for LNS but only thought the pilot may need assistance being all the way out there.

My scanner was not recognizing it properly I thought, as there were some strange readings. As I got closer I had to cut my engines and stare, I was dumbfounded. The Liberty ship had tentacles growing out of it and it was glowing. Nomad.. my instinct was telling me. The ship moved away and seemed to vanish in the cloud. I asked if one of the Zoners at Yaren Base saw what I saw. He did not.

Still confused by what I've seen I reported something Nomad-like was in Omicron Delta in the wing comms, unable to specify further. So I kept my station outside Yaren Base.

Out of nowhere the Nomad ship popped up on my scanners, rushing straight towards me in high speed. As soon as it was in range I made a further scan and most of the readings were of Nomad origin. The distance numbers were going down fast and I sent out a distress call on our internal comms. Suddenly the LNS-Tundra veered off in the direction of Omicron Kappa jump hole.

I followed.

A reassuring chatter over the comms filled my ship as the WV-Nauru, WV-Cerberus and Jason McPherson reported in, at the same time McPherson appeared on my scanners. We followed the LNS-Tundra who didn't appear to engage at this time. As we entered the rocky cloud around the Kappa jump hole, the LNS-Tundra stopped. It looked as if... it was hiding? McPherson told me the same thing over the comms. It resembled and animal peeking from behind the rocks to check us out. The hairs on my neck stood up.

McPherson informed me it looked like a Liberty Archer class vessel, but with Nomad... stuff, growing out of it. I told him that all Nomads must perish, also that we could study its technology. For our benefit. McPherson told me he agreed. I voiced my opinion that it had to die, still perplexed by the whole encounter. All the while the LNS-Tundra moving from rock to rock, checking us out, peeking.

McPherson said to wait for the reinforcements to arrive.

The WV-Nauru and WV-Cerberus closed in and the Nomad vessel suddenly moved out right in front of us and released a barrage of its weapons. Just as if it sensed the incoming threat. I heard McPherson in my ears, take it down and the wing was on in full motion among the rocks, lining up counter fire from all directions. The impacts colored my cockpit in flashes. I lined up my Nova's time and time again with the Nomad vessel coming in and out of vision in the purple haze of the cloud. The location in front of me sometimes only indicated by my wingmen's successful hits.

In the final push, the Nomad vessel came into an opening, the movement was off, like an animal with a limp leg licking its wounds. The WV-Nauru lined up another barrage and sent it straight to hell.

The encounter still perplexed me and I felt nothing, but it had to be done. The salvageable remains were collected and we set course for base. Zoner vessels nearby thanked us for our efforts.

Hopefully we will learn more about the LNS-Tundra and its fate, so that others don't have to face the same one.

Hail to my fellow Core wingmen and their decisiveness.

Ave,
We received a plea for assistance from Omicron Alpha by the Hyper Space Fleet. The Ategnatos, Minerva, and Triarii all mobilized to in response. The Ategnatos arrived first to the system to find the butt end of the battle, with the outcasts having taken care of the Deterrence fleet that plagued them. As I commanded our return I was jumped by 3 stupid rogue outcasts and attacked us! They tried to speak for the rest but their brethren ignored them. I sent a warning to the Core vessels to not follow us. I want their heads lined up. Those who are to learn consequences are NC-MNS-Santa.Lucia(destroyer) , Bombarolo(bomber) , and MNS-Vesuvio(destroyer) . They should be easy enough targets, if they resort to such scummy tactics.

Ave,
Another scouting mission another find. Outside planet Knossos in Omicron Xi I found a smuggler running a Gallic Navy IFF to get through border security by the name of "Missile". He entered the planets atmosphere saying he's friends with the corsairs trying to scare me off. Not much of a threat but one none the less. He was able to out run me at cruise speed but there is only one thing he could've been there for, artifacts. Corsairs came sprawling out of the wood work soon after, to protect their precious industry. Too much for me at least.

SUBJECT: Shift Report 830.2.7.1 - Patrol - Nomad Incursion

:::[TRANSCRIBING FEED...]:::

Greetings,

Earlier in the shift the WV-Everest and I took it upon us to make a routine patrol of the Omicrons, namely Omicron Zeta and Omicron Mu.

At first there were no particular activity standing out, we met a couple of Zoner capital ships in Zeta tending to their own business at Capetown. We continued to Omicron Mu for some reconnaissance and to take the pulse on the Order activity in the area.

Nothing to report, other than their known bases and regular patrols. We went back to Omicron Zeta.
I decided to check on the Zoners around Capetown for any Nomad remains and the WV-Everest went on its own patrol for a while. Everything was quiet at that time. So quiet that I went back to base in Omicron Rho.

That is when the WV-Everest hailed me on the internal comms of Nomad presence in Omicron Zeta. It seemed to me the WV-Everest had been followed from whatever patrol it did in my absence. Then Durban station control alerted me on the open comms and true enough my scanner also showed a Nomad ship closing in.

The WV-Everest reported several Nomad vessels of various size and we were outnumbered. I called on The Core emergency channels while the Nomad in Rho vanished in the cloud towards the Zeta jump hole.

I followed.

More Core compatriots jumped in their ships to join us. I went to the Zeta jump hole with clean scanners and jumped. Not to my knowledge, the WV-Everest jumped to Rho at the same time. Still separated.

I exited the wormhole and the Nomad from before was right in front of me. I yelled at it over the comms in the terms of vermin and cleansing it with fire and I found myself in battle. Several Nomad signatures appeared on my scanners out of nowhere.

A cloaked ambush?

A strange vessel appeared with the other Nomads, named RV-Pennybrooke which seemed human, but told me to die. A Nomad sympathizer? What kind of bizarre thing is this? The only thing worse than the Nomads themselves.

Completely caught up in fighting three, four adversaries I suddenly heard the WV-Everest shouting over the comms to make it towards the re-enforcements. I did what I could, my shield indicator was going up and down. So was the enemies, as my pulse weapons connected time and again on a couple of them between the rocks. Then, among the asteroids I saw the backup arriving, but so did a battleship sized Nomad and I was getting a lot of heat from several directions.

I hate to admit, I was a beaten wolf, chasing away encircling predators trying to finish me off. My vessel took a torpedo.

Hull breach imminent.

I ejected, can't really remember much after that. I woke up on Durban, so I assume someone tractored my escape pod and left me at medical.

I held out as long as I could after the ambush, and thanks to Domino on the WV-Everest and his training recently I at least put up a fight until backup arrived. Word has it we came out on top in the end, that pleases me.

My destroyer vessel active duty time continues with intensity. The Nomad ambush may have gotten the best of my ship, I won't let that happen again. I will not disappoint you.

Omicrons for The Core.
