Something rather than nothing, I suppose. 'Substandard' better not mean rejects thrown off the production line. I don't need them in great condition, but I do need them functional. I've been fighting alongside the Xenos for quite some time against our shared common enemy - and last I checked I wasn't asking for pay. But it's costing lives to keep it that way. A steady trickle of blood from patriots and tyrants alike. The latter is my sole consolation at this time. Liberty as a whole has regained its uncertainty, with Rogue packs devolving back to their usual MO.
Our line through California upheld by Hemlocke per our understanding during the summit has been severed as a result of his continued absence. The Rogues we questioned all squealed the same tune - the big dog is dead.
More recently, we removed an apparent Technocrat outpost in the system. Or at the very least an outpost backed by their regime. They waged a dedicated defense for a day before surreptitiously recalling their assets. At which point my men proceeded with the total destruction of the outpost.
A token victory.
That war hasn't even started yet. And I already find myself.. tired.
