Well, I don't really like to tattle. If you're really bothered by this, I can PM you any names you want to know.

I'm more miffed that all my credits disappeared.

Within the context of a luxury liner, Cardamine isn't kept in the cargo holds; it's kept in the passenger compartments. There are a lot of semantics involved in this, how exactly a scanner works and all, but I think it safe to say that the passengers and their effects stay in their compartments and the pressurized, inhabitable zones of the ship, while the button says 'scan CARGO,' which Passengers are not. Therefore, LPI fail.

Well, I prefer to keep Cardi in the hold, for RP purposes. It's better than just saying you have it on board.

I agree completely.

How could a scanner detect such a small amount anyway?

Any Law enforcement would know right off that you don't blow up a ship when you know it's a bloody cruise liner with civilians on it 20,000 at that. basically he should be trialed for the murder of those people and well... delete char. He would be allowed to stop your ship and call in support for a proper inspection. If you did not comply then it becomes a hostage situation as you are now a terrorist holding 20,000 lives on a 2 cardi speculation.

I would've just dropped the Cardi and called him fail as I sail off down the lane.

Yeah, both of you have some of the blame for poor RP there. As a OSC ship captain, you should be more than willing to comply with a police officer's orders, no matter what ship they are flying.

Here's how I would have approached the situation if I were in your position.

1. Tell the police officer that any cardi onboard was brought onboard by the passengers, without the ship captain's knowledge.

2. Offer to talk to the passenger who brought the cardi, and ask him to dump it out the airlock.

3a. If the passenger chooses to dump it out, drop the cargo, apologize to the officer, and go on your merry way.

3b. If the passenger is not willing to leave the cardi, RP some burly security men throwing the spoiled rich brat out the airlock, along with the cardi. Then go to your cargo screen, dump the cardi and one passenger into space, and continue on, letting the police officer deal with the now-floating passenger.

Anyways, as a passenger liner, your first priority is the safety of your crew and your passengers. You should not even put yourself anywhere near a situation which would involve danger to your passengers.

I am curious as to why you were carrying neon in your hold though. Lux liners should not be moving that stuff around.

A trader going to Kyushu went boom, and I pulled in his Neon.

But anyway, thanks for the suggestions, everyone.

Yeah, what about wilde pilots? Are they not contraband to be pew pewed? Or maybe the LSF should pewpew them

Well, they are Nomad-related. I think it would be logical if you could give Wilde to LSF/Navy and have them take the pilots to some Nomad-research station.
