RE: >: Zoners of Pennsylvania and CC'd recpts. - Doc Holliday - 07-19-2023 *incoming transmission* Comm ID: Doc Holliday Location: Personal Retreat, Planet Erie To: Hemlock; Cobra; Pennsylvania Zoners Hemlock! My new com picked up your transmission. I trust that you are doing OK. It has been some time since we spoke. Perhaps we should meet again as it has been some time. *smiles* I think we have some common issues that we can work on these days. Cobra and the rest of you, I wanted to give an update here on the surface. So far, Zoner patrols are active keeping our people safe. Some patrols are specifically watching the Liberty patrols here. Zoners refuse to work with them but will not hinder them provided they leave our people alone. Thanks to a friend of mine, we have gotten some good sidearms here and those who have them know how to use them. Anything will help but I do ask that whatever is brought be used in a defensive role. A lot of the Zoner people know the territory so they can put up a good front if needed. The bigger cities nearby. Now that I cannot give much of a report on so I will be making a short trip into the capital city to see things for myself. Now do not worry, I blend in nicely wherever I go and no one will know the difference. I will only reveal myself as needed. I will keep you posted. -Doc RE: >: Zoners of Pennsylvania and CC'd recpts. - Nika - 07-19-2023

Or that's what the indicators say, so the world should be able to hear us. Or, well, the part that needs to... We're still planetside, with MREs and ammo to last about two weeks, more if we're smart and careful about our guerilla raids. It's also safe to say our position's yet unknown to Liberty forces planetside and we've still got the luxury of access to landing pad and a craft that could fit us all aboard - about a platoon in total. But we're in the dark about the situation in space. How grim is it and is there still grace period for me and my folks to leave or it's out of the question and Liberty has total reign over both air and space? And now that we're able to talk - where do you want us? Are you able to support us with supply drops, or are we fending for ourselves? Subject: RE: Weapons, Vehicles, Personnel Encryption Strength: Impossible Commander Cobra - I certainly didn't see myself doing this after I graduated, but Liberty was eager to create the task for me. I suspect you're aware of the feeling. I'll spread the word on the robotic hardware, see if some lighter, faster transports can be tasked to oversee the move. Where should I send them to, specifically? As I was told regarding the munitions: that's a no to simply shipping light arms. They said it's necessary to acquire a breadth of destructive equipment beyond personal weapons to outfit and resupply troops and vehicles. Apparently? I'm- ... uh, really no expert, so I'm deferring to the Administrator here. In my opinion, though, we'll have to investigate getting those arms into the hands of people planetside who're ready to fight - but at a later date. Those vehicles, though, are quite the surprise. Let nobody say you don't plan for every eventuality, eh? We'll have to properly expand the hangars and barracks before we can store them or many more people. It's cramped enough in Pinnacle as it is. But you'll know when that's in order. Then we'll happily accept training staff to show our folks how to handle them. Lastly, and foremost in my interest, are your thoughts on Liberty's decision making here. It's typical House behavior, but even in my worst moments I never thought Liberty'd jump the gun like this. But here we are. You think a special interest spurred them onto it - corps, maybe? I have some means of my own, I'll set them to look into it. Any doubt we can sow, at any level, would weaken this thing. But for now, let me know where to pick up that hardware, and it'll be done. --Dr. Aspen Harlow

Subject: RE: Sunrises and sunsets at Erie Encryption Strength: Impossible C. Turkka-Albrecht - Great to hear from ya, fighter. Our situation is-... complicated up here, but here's the general overview: Liberty runs the lanes and Bethlehem Station orbiting Tyrone is a sort of gray zone at the moment, still independent but heavily patrolled and not a safe harbor for our people. Traveling more than ten kilometers off-lane is grounds for destruction of any civilian craft, full stop! We're not in a great position to get anything to you regularly yet, though. If you want to get off-world, you should be okay as long as you can pass a scan from any blues in the blockade, at which point you can meet up with us near the Lansdale moon. If you're eager to stay and fight, and can make the trip, if you go seventy miles west from the city of Wyandot, there's this farming town called New Vernon. The cattle ranchers out-of-town around there might be able to help you and your cohorts find some folks who've already received a little drop-off before this happened. Something's stirring, though. I... don't think it'll be this easy to leave for much longer. Whatever you decide, I wish you luck. --Dr. Aspen Harlow

Good to hear from you, Doc Harlow, and thanks for sharing these tidings with us, ill as they might be. Truth is, none of us are any good with spacecraft and we'd only be a liability in space: we'd have to be supplied with ships, weapons and provided training - and I believe it'd take too long and cost too much in our situation to pamper almost twenty people like this; but, if there's someone able and willing - a dated Dromedary and a Sabre are waiting for their hour at the biggest colony of the southern hemisphere by the equator - pick them up. I'd rather them serve a purpose to our own rather than fall in the hands of Blues. We'll remain planetside and continue our fight. As before, we'd appreciate being appraised to the situation in the skies and space and coordinate, but for the sake of convenience - Highlanders relay is now up and running. For free Erie. Sender ID: David Starr - Starr Logistics Target: All recipients of this channel Encryption: Heavy Priority: Medium Greetings to all of you,
I'm David Starr, formerly with OSI and now mostly 'retired'. I run a small 'one man company' called Starr Logistics - that's pretty much myself and my trusty Whale. I was out in the Omicrons for a few months since the Shooting Starr is going through an extensive overhaul at Livadia. It's taking a long time, it being a 20+ years transport that went through its fair share of radiation fields and hazardous clouds. Some Zoner pilots passing through the Omicrons relayed the news about the Liberty forces invading Erie - ha! What a joke name: "Liberty"! - So I took my old Dromedary freighter and came all the way from the Omicrons to Pennsylvania to see if my home was still there. Since I'm born and raised at Erie, and lived there most of my life before moving to Omega 48, I have a stake on this matter - specially after what happened at Gran Canaria. So I tried and went to Erie, but was not able to park at the usual landing pad, closest to my house. Liberty forces where using it. I departed and I'm docked now at Bethlehem. That's when I got hold of this comm channel. Long story short: I'm not leaving another planet. I decided to come back to Erie after the Gran Canaria invasion, but I never expected the same thing happening all over again. So, as was mentioned before: Logistics. I'm not a good fighter on the ground, and age is doing its share to lower my reflexes to fight in space - although I can still be useful on a group fight. But my speciality is logistics. I can start making some small deliveries in my freighter, but the Whale is almost ready and in a couple of days I can start moving bigger cargo. Just tell me what to move and where, and it will be done. I will not sit idly while our home is being destroyed for a manufactured BS reason. Anything you need, just ask and I will deliver. Doc Holliday, I'm not sure we ever met in person during my time at OSI, but I must say your humanitarian work in all fronts of the Zoner life is very much appreciated. I think I can get a hold of some small arms... Where in Erie should I deliver them? Doctor Harlow... I can supply your base as well... Just tell me what you need and you shall receive. Best regards to you all, David Starr Starr Logistics --- Transmission Terminated --- RE: >: Zoners of Pennsylvania and CC'd recpts. - Proselyte - 08-01-2023

Subject: RE: Erie Encryption Strength: Impossible Commander Cobra, I've got good news for you that you might already be aware of. I managed to move admin and get them to pass docking clearance onto your people, as well as make arrangements to house some of your personnel to help with training and material aid. Depending on when we get the hull segments shipped in to properly expand the station, I can talk to them again about making allowances for some more than that, but we'll have to handle one thing at a time. Since Hemlocke can see this too, fitting to let him know his people also have clearance to swing by and make any dropoffs. Once the hangar is sorted, you'll both be welcome to stop in for repairs and thensome for now. I'd only ask that civil conduct be strictly observed aboard. Whatever the scraps at Bethlehem were about before, for that to happen near or on-board Pinnacle would be a major boon to Liberty. We can't be divided right now if you want this fight to mean something. Let me know if you've got any concerns. David Starr, Always glad to see someone with a hauler willing to help us out. As long as you're set with standard Zoner IFF transponder codes, you'll be more than welcome to dock at our headquarters in orbit of the Lansdale moon. We're the current staging area for the heavy supplies. Lighter stuff like small arms and medical gear would be more useful on the surface, but that's a little fraught considering Liberty's recent proclamation - as if getting contraband by them wasn't already. If you need a task, check in with the dockmaster on Pinnacle. Look at his infosheet and that should give you an idea of what's needed on the base. Hull segments are definitely a priority right now to properly expand our facilities now that we've got the internal materials ready to go for most of 'em. --Dr. Aspen Harlow

The Shooting Starr is finally out of drydock and flying again. I already started doing some Hull Segments deliveries. Also, I spoke to my friend Tony and he was going to procure some Munitions on the black market for the outpost defenses. He is very experienced in those 'underground' negotiations. Aparently he already arranged that and the munition deliveries are complete. Well, excuse me now, because I still have a lot of Hull Segments to haul in the next few days... Now would be a good time to evacuate Bethlehem and lay low wherever possible. While Liberty consolidates its occupation of the Planet, you seem to have a brief window of opportunity here, before things get violent and communication proves impossible on account of jamming. If for whatever reason you lack the means to travel, I will arrange for conveyance, if the concern is instead your safety then please reach out to me and I will arrange for escorts.
