On a scouting mission on the Ibis Order design-inspired prototype, the ONI encountered a large contingent of Rheinlander vessels.

Completely unprompted, the DHC and BDM vessels opened fire on our scout. We assume it was because they were holding a dangerous amount of Cryo Organisms in their Barge and didn't want any attention. This unprecedented assault came completely out of the blue. However, the Ibis despite being chased by many vessels including a gunboat easily escaped the assaulting forces.

They bit off more than they can chew, however. The scout called in a hastily assembled retaliatory task force who went to retrieve the dangerous cargo. The Barge vessel refused to release it and was destroyed along with it, with the Rheinlanders being assisted by the Auxesians.

We are not sure why they chose violence, but we are sure they will think twice before they do next time.

The Earhart and adjacent systems are becoming more contested, the resource-seeking factions more aggressive - it is a gold rush never seen before in Sirius, and we must be ready to gain the upper hand with our advantage of the Alaska Supergate.

Subject: Bloodshot 1st Mission for ONI

Bloodshot reporting on my first mission to the Earhart sector,

I have been newly assigned to the ONI section and on my first mission I intended to gather some intelligence on areas and also anything I could come across.

I left the Alaska district from the Junker Works .....

Heading through the vast mine field was really tricky as I had not previously been assigned anywhere within this area since my promotion and codename assignment.
Eventually I managed to find the massive Supergate that everyone told me about, and proceeded to enter through it ....

Once in Earhart, I was really surpried by what I saw, Liberty Naval vessels everywhere, and after I spotted the vessel LNS-Fairmont which was an Overlord class, I decided to Hail the vessel.

After more hails and observations, it was clear that there were mysteriously NO breaches of the vessel, it would seem that the vessel had either been abandoned or boarded.
With no response, and obviously no way to dock at the vessel, my sightings turned to some sort of structure that had some kind of orbs around it.

I proceeded to approach the structure and the surrounding orbs, trying to use cover from torn sections of what seemed to be scrap metal.

Approaching closer I seemed to trigger off some kind of radiation output, and shortly after, there were streams of what seemed to be a weapons system, which totally breached and crippled my shield completely.
Scrambling for cover and under more fire the hull integrity of the Shadow vessel was breached, so I managed to get enough power to the escape pod system to launch me clear of the area, where a second ONI vessel was able to recover me later.

All in all, not a bad start to my ONI mission, but I will be making sure to stay clear of that structure in future.

My mission will continue, and will be accomplished eventually, and will be reporting intelligence as i gather it. I hope my report is sufficient for my first one and it is a pleasure to be able to support the ONI and help them to gather what they need.
