Got a question regarding Zoners based on output of previous events, why liberty authorities now on mutual hostility, but Corsairs is not?

i would like a clarification about this. I am not one of the affected players, but I bet there are many players who are, and it needs to be clarified whether this is really the case or whether it is a mistake.

So, i dont understand the concept of enemies...

Can Daumann freely shoot hessians? Or can we not?

I can pirate Kruger outside house space, but only within ZOI.... but reading my ID, i cannot attack hessians at all. "Can attack ships considered hostile by Rheinland" means i need to be allowed to enforce the laws. Because the definition of "hostile to rheinland" is laid out in Laws of Rheinland §5.1
Daumann has never had the line "can enforce the laws of rheinland"

.... i cannot enforce laws, so i technically cannot shoot. Which is silly, because previously Daumann could shoot hessians anywhere, any time, for any reason. Because of our shared lore.

Or can i attack factions listed as Enemies in my IFF page anywhere? What's the actual limitation here.

You can attack Hessians within your ZoI because they are considered hostile by Rheinland, them being hostile has nothing to do with inRP laws. They would be hostile to you even if those laws didn't exist.

Considering the amount of people who have legalized Pitbulls that suddenly can't use them, that's a lot of RP that's just thrown out the window. Even the unregistered ones are now useless without an ID swap, and I say this as someone who owns one.

A response from staff would be nice, since there's probably a bunch of people flying around in breach of their ID allowances without any idea.

The definition of "hostile to rheinland" is §5.1

If they are not on that list, they are by definition not considered hostile by rheinland.

§5.1 is a law. The content of the laws cannot be enforced unless you have the ID line stating "Can enforce laws".

Yes this is nitpicking. But the changes to my OF ID and Indy ID has changed a large function of the previous ID. And it is not explicitly clear how "enemies of rheinland" is defined. Nor has it been made clear how i can treat the factions listed as "enemies" in my IFF section either. THis is a problem. This is confusing for new players and those who do not spend all their waking moments researching the unspoken minutia of how disco works.

We just had a rework. A rework should make things MORE clear, not less.

exactly. I don't own any of these ships but I understand the problem of those who do, and that's why I raised this question.

In-roleplay laws have nothing to do with faction rephacks. Enemies of Rheinland are factions that are inherently hostile to the house that DHC is a part of, this would include Hessians, Unioners, Bundschuh, Corsairs, and potentially some other unlawful groups. This is easy to establish based on the new faction rephacks that are also linked in the original post.
